Fueling slavery by knowingly purchasing a chocolate bar made with illegal child labor. Nearly 20 years later, Tony’s Chocolonely is not only one of the most popular chocolate brands in…

You can accidentally start loving chocolate or accidentally find out your good at making it. But to accidentally start a company? No that is not an accident LOL.

I find the question funny: how can a European country find a place in us. I am sorry but the last time I checked European chocolate is just way better than us chocolate 😂

We HATE slavery, but if we pay them anything at all, it's not slavery anymore. And don't ask how much of those $5 per bar go to the guy who planted, tended, harvested and aged the cocoa!

"ethical" grifters who just increased the price of a chocolate bar compared to a regular Cadbury's. But are very good at selling the "sustainable" story, and a lot of people are willing to buy that story.

As someone from the UK I had assumed this was a slightly more ethical, but mainly overpriced chocolate. But having seen this video, and all the work they are doing I fully support the higher prices, and understand that mass produced products can often have a dark secret as to why they are so cheap. They also taste fantastic too – not sure that is anything to do with the ethics of the business but the process they use really does maximise the product. Full credit to the company and the chocolatiers.

In terms of taste, Tony's tastes just very similar to other European chocolate. their story is whats unique about them. Selling in America fighting Hershey's, yea they would win over taste. But isnt any european chocolate going to win over taste from Hershey's?

Excuse me, but Hershey's is not chocolate, it's a roof shingle that looks like a chocolate. If you have not tasted non-premium chocolate from Switzerland like Frey, Lotte from Japan, or Ritter from Germany, please do, it's better at this price point, using fresher milk.

As well as their slavery stance, their packaging is also more sustainable than other brands, as it is mostly paper or foil, so can be recycled easily
