  1. In my view and speculatively !! 1. The owner/ developer, the appointed engineering team, the main contractor and sub- contractors should all be held responsible for this disaster. More directly the main contractor. I say this because A. They should have 100% knowledge of the SA labor law regarding the acquisition of a compatent labour force from top management down to a semi skilled and unskilled laborer. Especially when constructing a building of this nature. Again speculatively, is there documented proof and records of checks at hold points QUALITY inspections verified, performed and passed by competent inspectors. At critical hold points regarding a structure being constructed of this magnitude should be performed by the design engineers. Each concrete load should be cubed and tested. Contractor On site quality inspector checking slump tests of concrete to be poured. Right specified reinforcing was used and fixed to engineers specifications. Again has all of the above and all other inspections been recorded in a Quality Control/ Assurance Data pack??????. Finally local municipality building inspwctors have they got records of there site visits and inspections???????

Much respect to all the rescue teams who are and have worked tirelessly in order to save lives. Condolences to all those families who have tragically lost there loved ones, and wish those critically injured a speedy recovery🙏

  2. Beke Cele has not sent a single word of condolence to the families of the 87 people that are murdered each day in South Africa. So the developers are just following his example. They learn from the best.

  3. This so painful watching and wailing😢Morena boloka sechaba sa gesho. Praying for all rescuers, we love you may the good God keep you for humanity 🇿🇦🇿🇦😇😇

  4. Trust African people to care enough to do something in a moment of crisis 💛, thank you to everyone that contributed in this effort.

Where is the developer? Does anyone know?
