Watching from Sydney Australia
HI DELA & KWAME: LOOK AT THIS VIDEO JUST UPLOADED 10-11-20, BY
(The Acheampong Family – HEAVY FLOODS HELP US WE CAN NOT GET HOME !)
IT GOES TO YOUR, AND MY, OBSERVATION THAT WHILE MANY (YOUTUBERS) ARE PRESENTING "MAGIC" VIDEOS ON HOW WONDERFUL AFRICA IS, GHANA HAS SOME SERIOUS FLAWS!
THIS BACKWARD INFRASTRUCTURFE AND UTILITY PROBLEM, WHILE THEY ARE STARTING A $2-BILLON DEVELOPMENT ON THE COAST FOR FOREIGN BUSINESS AND RICH TOURISM, WHILE REGULAR AREAS HAVE FLOODED STREETS AFTER A REGULAR RAIN?!
YOUR REALISTIC WALK AND COMMENTS ON THE OPEN GUTTER SEWERS ON STREETS OF NORMAL LOCALS IN GHANA, WHO ARE MOSTLY FAR LESS AFFLUENT THAN PROMOTERS ARE SHOWING.
The UK where you're from???🤨🤨
Dela, sometimes these are the sort of utterances that put me off in your vlogs. So you don't consider yourself to come
from Ghana? Sometimes I really despair with some of my fellow diasporans and yes, I am black and British too.
The UK doesn't consider you and me as part of their heritage and so why be so desperate to cling onto this claim that
you're from there?
White England considers its black citizens like you and me as British nationals or passport holders only…….not English,
so be proud two stick to fingers at them by shouting from the rooftops about your Ghanaian heritage, rather than let them
see you as the jilted lover who foolishly continues to cling onto a love that is not reciprocated.
Take pride in calling yourself Ghanaian and declaring the country to be your origin, not this constant association with a
colonial master and tormentor who sees nothing better of you. How do you derive any pride in associating your heritage
with a country where you'll forever be deemed a second-class citizen? Is that the legacy you want to leave for your children?
YOU SHOULD ALWAYS WALK FACING THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
The sun on your skin
I really enjoy your walkabouts. Thanks for showing us around. Next time you get the opportunity can you show us around Santeo/East Legon Hills? Good luck with the build. Wishing you can be done for your family Christmas celebrations! X
Is it unsafe to walk around filming yourself in Ghana?
Sis, I tell you what, i did double glazed windows on my house in Ghana. Just to let you know it really looks nice on the house but it make the house really really hot.
I hate that there are no side walks. Please let’s change this Ghana government
I love Ghana, walk with me videos are good!😍Are you using a camera or your iPhone?
I love your hair and your makeup❤❤❤🇺🇲🇬🇭
That's a lovely area….I like.
Amazing video. We forgive you for the mistake lol. Keep up the good work.
I think it should be well to explain to Westerners that the open gutters do not contain fecal matter or drainage water from the houses. The water flowing through these gutters are mainly rain water. All the houses have their individual sewage pits which are evacuated as they get full. The only city that has drainage system similar to those found in Western cities is Tema. Tema is a harbor city. Estate houses too have similar drainage systems like those found in the West.
Thanks for the street tours.doing ok these days that is great.Live your dreams.
Next vlog should be Adjiringano around former president Rawlings’s house. The last time I went around there was 10 years ago, the area looks good, couldn’t even believe it was Ghana, I’m wondering how it’s gonna look now. Please do ur next vlog around there. Thank you always
One more think, I love your videos like this, because you speak good english, and I can understand you.
Your camera is clear and less shaky.
You are doing an actual walk around, which gives the viewers more interest in the videos.
Thanks for sharing sis.
woohoo, like number 300, and you actually turned the camera around a few times lol.
Still had it stuck on you for the most part though.. smh.
Ghana has beautifuuuuul homes!!!
The thing I fail to understand about suburban areas in Ghana is houses that don’t blend, meaning you get a mixture of very nice houses and ones that are not worth to be in the area, as in they’re cheap and ugly and would place them in a high density or middle density area. If you live in an affluent suburb the area must have expensive beautiful homes built to a certain standard and nothing cheap that is worth being situated in a high or medium density area.
It good that you are going for a walk, cause it you get a chance to the
neighborhood and do a little sightseeing on foot
Building is tiring than buying but cheaper and the feeling is great after everything.
The way you and Kwame are building your house is the same way most 🇯🇲 Jamaicans do it. Tourists who are used to a 30 years mortgage in the 🇺🇸 US remark that there are unfinished abandoned houses on the island. You need the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen living room to move in. The rest can be finished later. When you are
finished, it is yours and you only have to worry about water, electricity etc.
Keep striving!
Look at my people Ghana Tryin to act bougy, talking bout u are not allowed in the estate lol. Even at the kotoka airport. if u don't dress well, they will think u are not traveling and prevent u from getting inside so u have to show ur travel documents. So sad. What a mentality 😂
👌👌👌
The sun beat me paa, beat me , beat me, beat me! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🌟
Was scared for u when those 2 guys were behind u …cos u looked scared. Lol…false alarm…all good…carry on
Beautiful
Thanks for showing us the area! You and the gutters, hehe! You are very consistent with your content, kudos! Indeed a lovely sunny afternoon for a walk.
@Natural Gha Girl
👧 l will never pass on the opportunity to see a video about architecture. I thought that house in East Legon was worth the money , it will hold its own anywhere in the world.
I like that walk around the local streets to expose both the good and the ugly ( open gutters)
What would you say it’s the premier residential address in Ghana, The Cantonment or East Legon ? Just curious 🧐
Why was kwame waiting around ? is the area not safe ?
Another nice walk. so many beautiful houses in that area.
Your husband is a good man to be protective of his wife.
Thank you for the nice video sister, next video should be at Borteyman, affordable estate. I will sponsor that video thank you. Please DM me.
Thanks 👍

I have built in Africa and I know what it entails .Basically building over years depending on money availability! It can at times feel like it will never be over but you will get there!
I think that the ability for everyone to own a home according to what they can afford is huge. Thus the term "MCMANSION" in America a mansion on a fast food budget .Yes things can go wrong as happened during the 2008 housing crash . But by and large the system works and you get to move and live in your house now as opposed to 5 years down the road. Yes we have extremely expensive areas in America ,but I think what is lacking in Africa is the mid range and low price housing . Decent homes that teachers ,nurses , plumbers , office workers , regular workers can afford! I hope out governments can address this issue as it breeds a lot of tension!
I am watching you and I am watching the surroundings – and yes, the dreaded? eyesore?inevitable? …… open……gutters.. and then suddenly my ears are pricked. Natural Ghana Girl is become a peripatetic philosopher, and a good and natural one at that too. Now you have up your game and I, for one, look forward to more of such beautiful and life-enhancing "ramblings" in your future walkabouts.
Love these walking around videos xx
