The new Volkswagen ID.Buzz does the whole reboot thing quite well.

  1. Nope. My dealbreaker was range for road tripping. Thats what the 60s busses meant to me(road trips, camping, living off the grid/ in your vehicle). They could've made a hybrid version then wait for the "superfast chargers are in every gas station" scenario in the US before releasing an all electric version 😢. They got two down. They just need to up the range.

  2. I was excited at first, but the review kinda killed it for me. I do a lot of four day weekend mini road trips throughout the year and 250 miles of range is what did it for me. And not being able to collapse down the seats without removing them is awful. If you can't throw a air mattress and go car camping or move a couch for a friend, like that is a major part of having a van.

  3. That was a shitty review.
Do you think we are “Cats” and using a red laser pointer to point out stupid stuff on the vw id buzz. We want to know about functionality and real range not what the manufacturer states.
But don’t worry “Engineering Explained” gave a proper review.

  4. After seeing the boring exterior; I was hoping for an exciting interior

It lacks any camping vibes – I know it’s not a Vanagon but the interior design seems simple/basic

  5. No Cargo version for US market. 🙁 Since everybody left the small cargo van market in the US we now need the Koreans and Chinese to find a way to enter. Stallantis Ram has promised to bring back the Promaster City as EV in 2026, but we need competitive pricing, fast charging and range closer to 300 mile real world.
