Visiting This Country Is Like Going Back In Time! 🇪🇷 ERITREA (#175)

This place isn’t Italy. It isn’t Cuba, and it’s not the Middle East either. This is Eritrea, and there’s nowhere else like it on earth. Due to a history of colonization by Italy and near-constant war with it’s neighbor Ethiopia, this country has a very distinctive look–and it feels like it hasn’t changed in 50 years.

  1. You'll notice no one hasseled and begged him like other african countries, keep in mind Eritrea gets sanctioned regulary for not accepting foreign aide, bc the one whome is the borrower is slave to the lender.

They will die over their dignity but that is the key to retain ones humanity, a true pursuing nation of democracy.

  2. Eritreans are bussiness people unfortunate they cannot invest their country due to system which doesn't allow them free trade.instead eritrean people invest in other countries in East Africa.

  3. I would like to know what the Eritreans have gotten out of the 30 years armed struggle for liberation. They continue to leave their country in mass after their independence. They pay thousands of Nakfa to border guards to cross into Ethiopia, a country from which they seceded. They brave to travel through the Sahara Desert and sail on poorly built boats on the Mediterranean only to escape the dictatorship of their liberator. They often end up in the desert or in the sea running from Isaias Afewroki. According to one Aljazeera report, the country has become one open prison. President Obama once referred to Eritrea as the ‘North Korea of Africa’. What is independence if it does not deliver opportunities for citizens to fulfill their dreams

  4. Why you didn't show the city of Asmara Clean and beautiful this is the village i love the peace of Eritrea may God bless more and more 🙏🙏🙏✝️🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷

  5. Its the matter of political division, we are one people no difference in our culture & social fabric, even with entire Horn of African countries people, but with 🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷 ertria's exceptional, We all are the same Habesh people 🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹❤🇪🇷🇪🇷🇪🇷

  6. When you talk repeatedly about renovation I feel like I have to respond so here it is … I would like to know that is is not about renovation and definitely that it is not coz we spend a lot of money in military it's about keeping the history as it is for us it would could have been renovated but we wanted to keep the history and pass to generations. For us it is not just building it is where a lot of our citizens kept captive and how we have sacrifice our beloved and precious ones and I can say that every war cost as thousands of previous ones

  7. Rastafarians believe Haile Selassie is a descendant of the biblical David (not literally God). This was told to me by a Rasta from Kenya (passed down from his rasta ancestors), however, Rastafarianism being a decentralized religion likely has many regional variations globally.
