My mom has being living with us for the past 15 years , she basically live her own life, boundaries are intact. I am from Sierra Leone and my husband is from Nigeria, we have been together for approximately 21 years we still in our early 40s. My mother is a pioneer for our success. She babysit, works and support us financially while we were working on our career and building our Company in Silicon Valley. When my parent in law lived with us for 4months they were amazing too. My point is healthy boundaries and expectation are necessary for any relationship to thrive and/ succeed.

In the past, mum's could not stay with their married daughters, they could spend the day then go sleep elsewhere, this has slowly changed.
