  1. Chili is caramel she is in between not too light not too dark she literally is in between 😂😂😂😂😂 oh and light skin Kesha is not light skin she's hilarious I have light skin cousins and she's not one of them!!!

  2. This is what I’m saying. Tyla was planted in the industry or randomly appears and is “colored”. Then, with her whitewashed pop/amapiano sound, she starts getting acknowledged in ways I’ve never seen happen to darker skin fully black women like Yemi Alade, Ayra Starr, Tems, Libianca, etc. I swear there has been an African wave in recent years more than the ones before it where different African cultures are getting highlighted across the board and I love to see it. But this is colorism, and though she is a “colored” or “mixed race” woman repping for South Africa, she is still benefiting from colorism and anti-blackness whether she means to or not.

  3. Honestly, T is giving industry plant – don’t get me wrong, she’s really pretty, her song is catchy, & she can move. However Burna Boy def deserved it more & Davido has been the most popular Afrobeat artist in the world. I feel bad they didn’t stand a chance

  4. People really fighting over corn rows? African American hairstyle? That’s the dumbest argument ever…. There’s Egyptian reliefs of people with corn rows from 5000 years ago. It’s from Africa and African Americans started in Africa too…. Family lol

  5. My opinion: Mea Culpa was TRASH. It was too overly dramatic (soap opera-ish); who breaksa Cell phone by kneeling it? and of all the places in the world, the "victim" happened to be in the same place as Mea?…Come on now! Mea's outfits were on point, though!

  6. Mea Cupla was garbage. There were so many holes in that movie, that it was embarrassing. Why did she throw her phone awsy, when all she had to do was to block hom😅. Tyler Perry needs to stop script writing.

  7. I think it’s wrong that when lighter skin women say that they experience colorism too, they are immediately shut down! It does happen but no one likes to talk about it.

  8. Im gone let Chilli be caramel and Meghan Markle be gray. They are what they are cause what they are not is dark skinned. They're complexion gives them a different experience in this world and I will let them own their experience. Kelly and Mea Culpa gone get yo money, glad the outfits and looks was amazing but its Tyler Perry so moving on. People come in all types of moods and attitudes in all types of complexions. You are who you are from inside to outside, some will like you some will not, just do you and love who loves you back with real love.

  9. I get annoyed when people choke people or even kids not liking some to they are jealous. I think it’s lazy and ignorant to say. Sometimes people or kids don’t like people or kids because they don’t. I told my daughter this in elementary school that everyone isn’t going to like you and that’s okay. And I never reduced it to that they are jealous. That is a real thing in life period and nothing has to happen for them to feel that way.

  10. Colorism in the black community is annoying. At the end of the day your black (chocolate, carmal light dark etc.) and the world will constantly remind you of it if you forget.

  11. I don’t have a euro French “black” mom. I’m not racially ambiguous I’m a black woman. As a child little girls who’s hair would fall out because of all of the perms and chemicals (we used in the 90’s & early 2000’s) would pick on me who’s hair was also suffering from those chemicals 😂 however I maintained my hair length. If I wouldn’t let girls play in my hair they’d want to pull my hair, spit balls, push me in line etc so sometimes you don’t have to be light skinned with light eyes 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ if children didn’t like you it was usually because of household trauma. Let’s say they did pick on her 🤷🏾‍♀️ so what. The very reasons why she may have been bullied in the past is also why she was idolized in the industry over Amarie, the rest of destiny’s child, and any other “chocolate” artist out then. There is a good a bad balance to everything on the planet. Including colorism and beauty. And for the people in the back, being light and being beautiful are sold separately 👀☕️ read that again

  12. Mea Culpa was terrible! 😂. It is number 1 because people wanted to support the movie, it doesn't make it a good movie. The dialogue was terrible, the dead space in a lot of Tyler Perry's productions are terrible, and his directing skills need more work. He literally make good actors seem like bad actors. All the actors are too good for that movie.

  13. Ayra Star, Tems, Burna Boy, David, they're all damn good and I'm a fan of them amapiano is taking off too, and as a South African I'm so proud. But I'm so sick of people acting like Tyla didn't create a bigger hit than them this year. I swear this Grammy is gonna cost her her whole career cause now everyone's screaming industry plant. But if we're being for real like most artists are industry plants. Like why is the struggle necessary for success to be accepted. Ya'll literally worship nepo babies. Kanye dissing Tyla but put his child on a track singing nonsense.

  14. I always liked JT more and think she’s prettier.

I saw Chilli as darkskin until recently but she didn’t have to go that hard. She is definitely melanated period.

Lightskin Keisha & Beyonce ARE light-skinned.

YessssssPleaseeeee stop projecting this reverse colorism narrative. This has happened to me before and annoying. They are other features and factors that we consider. It’s not always about skin tone.
