  1. Shame she had to cancel her tour, especially while she's on a roll.Apparently she has an injury that's been bugging and very painful for the last year.Even as she excepts this Grammy she is in pain. The have not specified the injury.

  2. well done Tyla. she is coloured, not black. don't conflate the two. coloured is a race is south africa and they are proud to be coloureds. doesn't matter what the Yanks say or the political correct moral police 😂

  3. one sngle single song can destroy everthing… lets not be suprise for her winning just one song… this is all about peoples choice specially a hit song all over countries… just remember achy breaky heart of a country song that until now no one break it

  4. Speaking to person who gave negative response in the above comment to our African brother or sister, via their comment. PLEASE DON'T speak for ALL American Africans. 1st, we do love and care dearly about our MOTHERLAND! We still remember how we got here, though it's being taken out of history books. NONE of us raised our hands to volunteer.

Two: it does matter her color because it's being said TODAY she is the 1st to come out of "South Africa" as a Hip hop or whatever. BUT when it's WRITTEN throughout "History" they WILL HAVE HER ethnicity RIGHT!

I.e., the first person out of South Africa to break burial into America with Hip Hop on number 1 chart was a beautiful young lady of "India decent" whose family Migrated to South Africa in ####. Tyla was born in SouthAfrica, loving to watch Brandy and other artists, Tyla against her parents decisions, begin to love and search her way to become the Biggest 1st South African Artist EVER…. to do what she's doing. Now she WON BEST "AFRICAN" MUSIC AWARD. (Because NO AFRICANS were never good enough, we never had the voice or moves) THIS WILL BE HER BIO and history legacy.

See, as African/Black people, WE are always so kind to share and give up our seats, name, fame, and glory. Simply because, she said herself…

The way "they" look, the way "they" hold their lips and mouth, the way "they" move, it's ALL "Africans"
and like many in the world 🌎, they love and admire EVERYTHING about us! HOWEVER WE must remember. NOT saying her because I pray she doesn't, but MANY use us to make their mark in the world. Once there, they distance themselves.

We as a unity should just be more careful with the gifts the Most High has given us. After all, at the end of the day, Colonel Sanders owns KFC all over the world, and NEVER fried a piece of chicken, and Paula. Dean owns some of the most popular Southern food restaurants down south! I'm just saying!

Remember, no matter where you are in this World, if you look like Bob Marley, Denzel Washington, Julius Malema, or Lauren Hill, YOUR KISSED by the sun skin and WOOLEY HAIR, will ALWAYS make EVERYONE else see you as LESS THAN!!! SO YOU MUST GET OVER IT!! And STOP cheering other people in your spots then wonder why we're still where we are the end of the day.

P.S. I don't even think the person who made this negative comment about us is black, just messy and trying to keep "us" divided. (Shaking my head)

Let's stay focused Black/ African people ALL OVER THE WORLD 🌎
    Love all….***

  5. Whils I love what she's doing – At the acceptance speech, she forgot to thank her fans – although, let's give her credit, she mentioned, that she knows, she's forgetting something 🙂 Amazing journey – YESS – south Africa Goooo – But don't forget to thank your fans, 'cause they're the biggest part of your success and ultimately income 🙂

  6. Isn't it strange when you become famous you become South African. When you are not famous you are i Khaldi( that colored person) So Tyla Ron Williams suddenly become South Africans when they get famous. And for us not famous mixed race people we remain coloreds.
