Mr. Kwaku Manu, you have made some important points but not all are true or facts. The Asantehene(chief) is not above the Ghanaian constitution or president. If a chief in Ghana has not broken law, there will be no need for the constitution or law to mend them right. The sad truth is that most of our presidents and law makers have compromised their positions to the extent that anyone in a higher position can literally just walk over the laws of the land.
The lady in this story has said nothing wrong in my opinion BUT, the manner in which the comment was made in my opinion is not plausible. But also, is this the most important issue affecting the Asante region? Even though Jonas is a silly loud mouth, I think he made a very good point on the galamsey issue. If you have power then wield it to stop the illegal activity going on in the region that is now reaching others as well.
Finally, Ghana is a republic and not a kingdom. If we don't uphold these rules, one day, all our efforts to make this country peaceful will be for nothing. We will be having a Rwanda or Uganda civil wars in our lovely Ghana due to one chief or people claiming supremacy. The same thing that led to Rwandan civil war. ❤
