There is a reason to turn it off, when you use 2 SIM cards and you can’t pick up a call and want to send a quick response message iMessage will use your default number or email to send a message from. NOT the number the caller called on. This is very annoying, cos I ask them to call back later on the wrong number or an email. SMS doesn’t have that problem. Hence I just turn that off and use WhatsApp for anything else.

Now AI (Artificial Intelligence but also Apple itelligence) why not call it iA or something? Do they let a dolphin take the strategic decisions, or is it a marmot?
RCS on Android in India, gives me banking and other loan spam in my messages app, iMessages does not do that. Why should in use RCS then, just to get ads in my messages app?

Not an issue for the world outside of the US. RCS does make it easier for me whenever i go back and forth between iOS and Android.
A SMS might take 1 to 5 minutes to arrive here, while WhatsApp is immediate. SMS is a no go. Apple im general is a no go
