Black people are black no matter where they are from. I hate to give such an elementary explanation but when did people forget that the terms African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, Samoan American, Indian American, ect does not necessarily mean that you are born here. It could also mean that you migrated here and have been naturalized as an American citizen. For example if a Chinese person was born in China but migrated to America at age 4 then they are now Chinese America. If a Chinese couple came to American together or met in America and then had a child ( in America) then that child would still be considered Chinese American in both of those scenarios. The American part could mean that you were born here or that you are now naturalized here. With that said, Kamala was actually born here so she could be considered part African American and part Asian/Indian American or mixed. She is not an Indian citizen or a Jamaican citizen. There are many mixed or biracial people who identify with one or both of their races. It has nothing to do with where their parents were born. Many white Americans are first generation in America but their parents were born in Europe yet they call themselves white Americans or are considered White American by the government. America is a nationality not a race and it does not always determine where you were born. Look it up!! It’s amazing how all of these so called Constitutional republicans don’t know this basic and simple fact.
