As a South African i hang my head in shame at your reporting…I live in a farming area, farmers are being attacked and the brutal way that this happens, the torture that these farmers endures, is proof that they are specifically targeted. Obviously the ruling party would not admit to this. But just listen to Malema singing kill the boer, kill the farmer. The level of corruption with leaders in South Africa runs so high up that it is impossible to correct. Take for example the attempted murder of Andre de Ruiter when he exposed corruption at Eskom. You cannot trust what the government of South Africa puts out into the world, because they do not want you to know the truth. Yes, crime in South Africa is out of control, that's true, but it is also true that farmers are being targeted specifically.

It's very healthy that these conversations are now more out in the open. I think the South Africans and Trump actually handled this well. Trump's grasp on the matter may be vague, but he is not wrong in saying that we (I am south African) have some serious issues in the country. Yes, there is a lot of murder generally in the country, but it is also true that the targeted killing of white farmers specifically is not uncommon. In some instances, the families will be tortured to death, raped, set on fire, etc, and it won't even make the news. The torture often seems reserved for the white families. Imagine that happening in Europe. And it's great, very healthy, that a light is being shone on this. This is the kind of conversation that actually can help us be honest about the very serious security challenges a fractured society like ours is facing.

I am a white South African who lives on a farm, and this is the most disgusting, horrific thing i've seen in my entire life, when my dad leaves for work and me and my mom are home alone, we have to sleep with guns under our pillows because of how dangerous it is, there are over a 100 laws against white people in this country, and i can tell you that stack of papers trump had with the amount of murders in south africa was barely even a fraction of what happens here, every day you hear about farmers being murdered and burned sometimes the chanting of "kill the farmer kill the boer" will be done in the process, by the time the trump meeting was done, my mother was in tears, due to the BLATANT lying that was happening, its so bad, that some south africans dont even see whats going on in their own country due to how HORRIBLE the news is here, they will blatantly not cover most farm murders, ever since i was a kid i was taught that i mattered less than the people around me because im white, i will always struggle to get a job, and i might not live to see the next day, this is the harsh truth that most of us grow up with, and despite this, there are a very VERY small minority of people that are either blind to this or just have been lucky enough to live in a place where farm murders are rare, but i can tell you, that being blamed for Apartheid, something that i didnt even live to see, is disgusting, people dont realize it because of how well news like this tries to hide it and finds the rare cases of people who havent been discriminated against, me and my family never thought anyone from the outside world would ever realize what happens here, and i grew up with the fact i could be killed any day in horrific ways, as a normal thing, but when trump started covering the small fraction of things that happen in this country, the hope, of something, better than this, better than constant fear and discrimination made me daydream of being equal to others for once, i have been a victim of racial discrimination myself, and so has my family, multiple of my family members were murdered in these targeted, discriminatory events, if someone breaks into your house, and their black, and you shoot them, fearing for your own life, you will go to jail because its seen as a hate crime, so the government forces you to be helpless, putting you in situations where you arent safe, they will cover up farm murders so much, that the murderers are barely effected if or when they are caught, the government is SO corrupt sometimes even the police will support these murders and purposefully drive slower to allow the crime to take place, will arrest the victims for things they didnt do, or will even aid in the crime, i am shaking writing this because, the amount of disgust this brings me is immeasurable, one of the very VERY few places in this country that is relatively safe is Cape Town, which is governed by a different political party than Julius Malema, who has caused a massive rise in the murder of my people, and with the new laws being made, they can take your land however they please because according to them, it belongs to them, even though i was born in this country and i am a south african, my ancestors fought for this land, for our freedom, only for this to happen, and we have no chance of escaping this other than fleeing the country or waiting for trump to take in more refugees, its horrific, absolutely, there were MULTIPLE attempts to murder my uncle, aunt and cousins, even my grandma, and MANY MANY Distant relatives, in the city your more safe, but on a farm, your not safe, ever. im only writing this because even the SMALLEST chance of someone seeing this and realizing how we are slaughtered, can maybe make a difference and save us as a nation and as people, we are killed with machetes, burned alive, assaulted and far worse that i doubt i can even say on youtube…. i can only ask that anyone reading this can spread the word of what is happening, even just by leaving a comment on a video about this topic, or a reddit post, anything, that can help get the word out, so that this issue wont be suppressed… God bless any and all who reads this, i will post this comment on a few other videos, so that as many people as possible can see the truth.

In Britain if somebody said what malema is saying, then they would probably be prosecuted. But then certain right wing people I won't name, would get all uppity about free speech being restricted. I think there is an argument for restricting people from saying things that are violent. So it is understandable maybe in the 1980s, when there was a massive conflict but not really any more. I think they should condemn The killing of white farmers, and the police said carry on doing what they can to protect them, but I think they might have been a bit of exaggeration, for political purposes. But there's no doubt in my mind, that white people and black people should be treated fairly in South Africa. So I am not going to pretend that nothing bad is happening. But I think the South African president did handle it very well, very calmly and he talked. But if I wonder if there is an argument for violent speech to be illegal in South Africa as well as Britain. How to be honest it's not really any of my business if I don't live in South Africa.
