  1. My step father was a severe alcoholic. When I was young, I went to some AA meetings with him. All of the members would stand at the podium and tell “funny things” they did when they were drinking. There was not a damn thing funny about living with an alcoholic!

  2. My Mother and 2 brothers have passed away. After I pray, I imagine they are on a beautiful beach. My mother is probably having a cold glass of white wine. My other brother is probably having a frozen margarita. My other brother is having a cold glass of sweet tea. I miss them each and every day.🙏

  3. One of the most insightful podcasts I’ve ever listened to… Trevor is extremely insightful, intelligent and never stopped giving his mother her flowers and this helps me REALLY appreciate what my own mother has gone through to raise me as well as get us to where we are now compared to where we’ve come from.

This episode helped me make my own connections with my life and my childhood and how it affects me as an adult and really truly inspires to do my own work and self reflection to be a better human being. Goddamn dude extremely eye opening

Sorry brain dump just super emotional WOOPS

  4. 2 highly intelliegent, funny, deep thinking men talking about emotions and mental health. I love that these discussions are happening. More of this please!

  5. Heartwarming, funny, wholesome and thought provoking ❤ it was so lovely to listen to you two talk ❤. Listening to Trevor on any topic is always a treat ❤

  6. I love this TrevTrev!! 🎉😊 Feels like he's got his soul back 😂 (dont know him from James, but these are the types of conversations I love him for!) 🙏🏾

What he says about the Xhosa people is PROFOUND and worth further inspection. It's not lost on me that Mandela was Xhosa, Siya Kolisi is Xhosa and Trevor is Xhosa… and they all have a shared quality to them that feels familiar ☺️

  7. No, Neal. It's NOT that America rigged it and didn't want to tell black people. It's that we ALL (should) know the system is rigged yet when we point it out: 1) Some people (usually white) go on a diatribe about how that's history (racism no longer exists in theUSA & they are SO TOTALLY NOT racist or 2) They (again usually white people) try to play people (usually "minorities", especially black Americans) for crazy like we don't know the truth, and see it for what it is ALL happening in real time.

  8. Beginning 19:45 Is a fantastic example of the FUNDAMENTAL ATTRIBUTION ERROR. Noah elegantly attributes problems with communication or language as the basis of conflicts all over the world. Noah says, you’re driving down the freeway, someone cuts you off, but they see it as, I saw a gap in the flow of traffic and meant no offense – two very different perspectives. The irony is we all, at one time or another, commit the error and assume the worst in other people rather than give them the benefit of the doubt, as we would like others to give to us.
Noah thinks like a wise psychologist / sociologist /mediator / philosopher. Thank you for the many insightful observations shared in this interview!⭐️
