Travel Vlog | Angola Part I

Experience Angola with me! I went to Angola for a two day wedding. I stayed in Kilamba, Angola in Hotel Victoria Garden.

Please keep in mind that my opinions are only based on my time in Luanda, Angola …. not the entire country of Angola. I did not travel outside of Luanda. So if you travel to the city of Luanda, Angola, you may or may not…

  1. Thank you for sharing your opinion about Angola. Allow me to just say what I feel about it. First of all I am so in love with this country & the culture out there so I had to respond to this. Girl, you went there in Covid time so of course as everywhere everything was on pause there.
You also didn’t make the effort to understand their history or to look for interesting things to do. So how do you think you gonna have an opinion about the country of you didn’t even tried to know actually the country ?
Also, when you travel to a country you can’t compare that to yours. Every country is different. You need to embrace differences, that’s what it make it special. If you want to found the same thing than us, better to stay there … I can also send one of the many video where they advice you about the many stuff to do there and hope it gonna help you to see the country on different eyes and to have just a little consideration for that great country that Angola is.

Also about the prices, of course like in many African and European countries If you are a foreigner they will try to charge you more especially if you are staying at luxurious hotel. About the food, if you just made the effort to look about typical restaurant you would find very affordable place with an authentic kitchen and a very good price. Like all things, you just need to make an effort and you will have good times …

  2. Hey there! I’m an Angolan born and raised. I live in the US. Just a tip, if your “husband’s co-worker” invited you guys to come to his wedding ON A DIFFERENT COUNTRY/CONTINENT. If your “husband’s co-worker” made sure that you two were present at one his most memorable day of his life, you SHOULD NOT call him “your husband’s co-worker”, THATS YOUR FRIEND. THATS YOUR FAMILY!!

ALSO, you speak like you were forced to go to Angola. The way you speak and carry yourself. The complaints about the mistake with the food AS IF THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT WOULD HAPPEN IN THE USA! Your attitude is TRASH. TRASH!

PLEASE, don’t go back to Angola. We don’t need this type of energy. I’ve met a lot of Americans who loved visiting Angola and other parts of Africa ,and were so grateful that they were able to step feet in MOTHER LAND.

You’re a such a complainer. I cannot imagine the stress that must be to travel with someone like you.

Please, don’t go back to Angola. HOW DARE YOU? With your “my husband’s co-worked”. So disrespectful.

  3. Hey Jessie, how did you get in? Are you Angolan? I've been trying to go to Angola for almost a year and it all the websites say its closed for non Angolans due to covid.

  4. I’m all for Africans marrying outside of their country but the girls shoudl of wear her traditional outfit from Angola and the guys should of have as well why bring another countries clothes there 🧐

  5. You are a typical American girl I can just see how u complain if u go anywhere in the world there is ups and down not you saying they is nothing to do in Angola that means you didn’t tour around

  6. I lived in Angola for 6 yrs. 4 in Cabinda and my last 2 in Luanda. As for Cabinda, everything was priced low. Luanda and hotels are always expensive. I always went to small neighborhood stores or small grills to find something to eat but I speak Portuguese and Spanish.

  7. You can be taken advantage anywhere especially when they know you are a foreigner .. Angola is such a beautiful place and has so much to do … you probably didn't get enough time to actually see everything or have different places to explore. Don't let 1 or 2 things judge the country as a whole. Even the hotel you are in is quite far from the city so you haven't even seen anything . There is so much to do, this video is making me so sad! Whenever I have gone or take my friends from different countries , they never want to leave .. and please its Angolan not Angolian 🥴😅

  8. I understand maybe you are not a great traveller. Don't go to any country in the world and expect to see what you have in the US. Mostly leave the colonial mentality, looking down at every places you go to. Every place is unique and has its uniqueness. What the point of you travelling to different places and expect to find your country there. Ever asked what angolans go through to get a US tourist visa? I've travelled throough out the US and been robbed inthe street sometimes, I have been warned not to go to some places in some US cities because it was too dangerous. I was in hotels where we did not have running water for hours and in some nice hotels in the US.
We have very nice hotels and very good things to do in Angola, I understand that may be you were limited by your budget, but that doesn't mean there is no good hotels there nor anything good to do. Luanda is ranked among the most expensive cities for foreigners in the world. To get the best of it you have to be financially prepared. So many tourists from all over the world visit Angola and have a very different opinion from yours. Angola is just an African country like any other African country, different from the US, but Angolan are happier people. If you come with higher expectations anywhere in Africa, sorry you will always be disappointed. Thank God, not all Americans have such an opinion as yours towards other countries. My advice is that don't just visit other people's countries to look for things you will find in your country, but go in order to discover what is unique about the place.

  9. That’s everywhere that you can take advantage of, i love your makeup tho the weather is not just like that. Lol there is a lot of things to do in Angola, you probably just don’t have the time. Also, you could of done so many things . I hope you like it.
