A lot of the Spanish speaking countries probably actually have much larger populations of black people but colonization, the caste system, and anti blackness has led a lot of them to identify as “other” on the census but I’m happy there are many people all over the America’s who are proud of their blackness and that the African culture has survived through hundreds of years of colonization, they couldn’t take away that beautiful culture!!
