President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo should be on this list.
if u dont know idi amin dada …u dont know africa
Samora Moises Machel was the greatest leader in Mozambique.
I very surprised that king minilik Ethiopian king who defeated Italians is not in the list I give him 1st place
Their all great but some are missing People who put africa first are missing…..
Most of them fourth for where the came from. Gadaffi and Nghumicruma but africa first. Go back and watch Gaddafi of libia video then you would see what he did for us. Let's be grateful for all the did
Thanks for the list. Greatness in their spheres.
am South African but isuggest that Seretse Khama Botswana former president should be in this list
Why is Nelson Mandela on the list?
Haile selassie is a legend🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹
KK indeed he is one of the greatest leaders of all time ,because he helped many African countries to get independence
Is beast to list all not ranking , All they are GREAT..I love Afrika.Tz
Your number 1 choice and two others on your list is bogus. In fact it's useless 😜😜😜😜
Sister you for get siyaad bare somalia
Love from Asia
1. Julius nyerere
2. Kwame Nkrumah
3. Nelson Mandela
4. Patrice Lumumba
5 haile Selassie. May be it should be like this
Im asking u who called the fathor of africa?🤔
It's haile silase
No Sir Seretse Khama?.. a man who ruled 11 years out 13 years reign without army, who took his nation from the 2nd poorest nation in the world to the fastest growing economy in the world? No man he deserves some respect..
Two corrections:
One: when you are rating the top 10 African leaders what was your rating criteria.? For me, African leaders didn't just pop up during or after Africa's independent from colonial powers . Many African leaders have done so much good to their people before or during the Scramble for Africa.
One of the outstanding Africa leader of All Time is Menilik II of Ethiopia who bravely defeated the European Empire, Italy at the Battle of Adawa in 1898.
Please see this interview for more https://youtu.be/gV48Sz8Dfjw
Secondly: One correction about Mandela. Mandela first came to Ethiopia and received military training and returned to Johannesburg with a pestle and some money to start the arm struggle. Please see the SABC link below: https://youtu.be/RolO50qckvk
In 1962 Former President Nelson Mandela secretly travelled to Ethiopia for military political and spiritual training under the name of David Motsamai. Haile Selassie's Ethiopian army, on the orders of Haile Selassie himself first trained and armed Nelson Mandela in his struggle against apartheid South Africa. On the personal orders of his Majesty, the Ethiopian Colonel in charge of Mandela's military training gave him a gun with which he was to bring down the ignoble and unhappy apartheid regime still thriving at that time in South Africa. Mandela went back to South Africa to continue his struggle. The rest is history. One of the things that Madiba recently learned is that while he was in Ethiopia , the aparheid government knew where he was and had paid his menders to kill him.
We are joined now by Captain Guta Dinka who not only looked after Madiba while he was in Ethiopia but was ordered to kill Madiba. He is with Prof Mamo Muchie who will do the translation for us.
Viva Samora Machel
It's means Robert mgabe was not great leader of Africa who ruled more than 36 years on Zimbabwe
I'm disappointed that most Africans dont know.anytbing about former Somalia's president Mohamed Siad Barre that took part to free many Africans nations smfh
Meles Zenawi from Ethiopian agreat leader in African. He was a Changed leader in African.
Nice list. Im ADOS and wasnt alive during these times, but I've heard many older people say that Winnie Mandela was actually a better leader than Mr. Nelson was. On another note, when you say greatest African leaders of ALL TIME, then people should remember that Egypt, Kerma, Nubia, Carthage, certain Moorish leaders etc are all African as well and thus their histories are too. King Narmer, Queen Hapshetsut, Abu Bakari, Mansa Musa, the Candaces etc, all have done incredible things. Again, great list. Peace
Bless my homeland Ghana oh Lord and all the Africa countries as well😚
Haile Selassie should have been number 1…he freed Ethiopia from colony, helped and trained other African nations to gain their freedom, modernized Ethiopia, united Africa… How many leaders can match that
I am honestly offended that you put the guy responsible for liberating a lot of African countries at number 6, you see a lot of strategies to free African countries were done under the supervision of Mwalimu Nyerere he even gave Tanganyika/Tanzania passports to other leaders so that they can be able to liberate their countries because they couldn’t get passports from their own countries that’s just one thing, I can see most of the people you put above Nyerere is because they either fought or were arrested or were exiled. You forget that Nyerere managed to convince the colonizers to give Tanganyika it’s independence without having to fight or being jailed etc etc no disrespect to any of the leaders above him but sounds to me like this is the kind of person you want to have as a number one. But I don’t blame you because for some reason Nyerere has always been overlooked don’t know why.

Algum moçambicano?
8-Samora pai😢
Thank you for your leadership compilation in Africa, but this is just absolute nonsense and rubbish as it does not contain any of Nigerian leader. There is no African history without Nigeria, don;t you know about this simple truth. Most of the leaders you mentioned lead a country of about one million people. Do you know how difficult it is to manage Nigeria, because of the management of Nigeria, North, West, East and South the country was engulfed in three years civil war. Nigeria have got some founding fathers, Independent for Nigeria and the formation of OAU which deserve to be accorded some respect and dignity in African context. These include the First President of Nigeria Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, The saduana of Sokoto, Amadu Bello. etc These Nigerians leaders are better than the ill fated list that you have compiled. I am highly disappointed by your compilation which is misleading and does not teach the true African history. The African continent will never go forward by this type of bias compilation. Africa needs love for one another, honesty and integrity to move forward….Cheers.
May God help us we Africa's
Very subjective as with any list/opinion. I would like to know the rationale behind the choices.
Sereste Kahma should be on here!
Kwame nkuruma, jomo kenyatta, haile sillasie, julius nyerere,.All the other leaders you mention later are toddlers. Africans dared to fight colonialism once they saw how jomo kenyatta and mau mau dared to
(Mwalimu. Julius K. Nyerere)A guy who united nearly 120 ethnics groups who now live peaceful till today and helped S.A. get independence, let some african countries soldiers train on his land and he chased out Idd Amin. I thnk that one should be in top 3. Just my views.
MANDELA HIS MY LIFE
HEE WHY YOU LEAVE KAMUZU BANDA
Kenya one is a sellout Just Like His so'n
Thomas Sankara and Mu'ammar al Qathafi were the best African leaders. Other good leaders were Nasser, Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba, Sekou Touré, Agostinho Neto, Samora Machel , Manuel Pinto da Costa and Amilcar Cabral.
Kk 🇿🇲🇿🇲
Fuck for u
For my side nyerere is no 2 and nkrumah 1
You forget one of the greatest leaders in Africa m siyad bare known from horn of Africa Somalia 🇸🇴🇸🇴
Please remove Kenyatta there.
MURDERERS ARE NOT GOOD LEADERS
Good article, but point of correction Samroa Machel died on his way from Zambia, not Zimbabwe.
There is story that mandela was trained in ethiopia in the Imperor haile selassie time. If the story is true you need to correct the story.
Before you post a video do research ….do you know about king Menelik II
You are Crap! Shit, du know haile selassie how many Eritrean people killed, you have many Eritrean subscribers, and you make them anger
Selase was a terrorist.
Yours is just an opinion…
If you could not mention South Sudanese leader Dr. John Garang De Mabior and Zimbabwean former president Robert Mugabe then I have my own opinion too.
