The issue of buying cars still coming up as a fault of the president whereas a member of the national assembly has made it clear on this same platform that the vehicles for the National Assembly members were purchased before the president came into office. If provision was not made for the vehicles they would not have been purchased. Commenting on the cost can only make sense because Nigerians think if the purchase was made from the local manufacture in the country that would have made more economic sense. Either way you look at it there is no way the purchase of the vehicle would have been avoided unless the idea of purchasing vehicles to be used by the members of the National assembly was completely scrapped. Nigerians who think that the refineries when in operation will bring the price down are missing the point because Dangote refinery is not a government 100% owned that they can control the price. There are market forces that affect the operation of refineries worldwide and Nigeria is not exempted from those forces. Therefore, the statement made by GMD of NNPC LLC about price is appropriate, because he cannot make a profound promise to Nigerians and the reverse happens when the refineries are working.
