Unlike in West Africa, note that Southern African countries like Angola, South Africa, Namibia and Mozambique black people and white people are interrelated, they intermarry, some share same surname, go to school, church, cultural festivals etc together. Trying to divide these communities will result in spectacular failure, racism is not a very serious issue.

The woman in the TikTok video says that the white South African is more culturally related to South Africa than a Nigerian and this is the reason why she wins the contest. But if we approach this white South African and ask her if she identifies with the African culture (black culture) in South Africa, I really doubt that she's going to say yes. Africans always love to claim people who don't claim them and don't love them. And suppose the European powers, decide to attack South Africa to recolonize it. Who says that the same white woman that they have allowed to win the beauty contest will not side with the European powers against the black population of South Africa because she knows that the European continent is her true motherland and the place where her true people originate?

Xenophobia is real in SA because the way I saw African foreigners attackked, burnned, and lynchhed by mobs (not individuals) in jhb, cpt and dbn, in 2011, 2015 and 2019, cannot be compared to any other African country.
It is unacceptable and unfortunate that a channel intended to unite people with brown skin worldwide is now doing the opposite. To be truly objective, there must be a discussion about the Chidi/SA Saga from various perspectives.
I am a Congolese who riside in Johannesburg, and I personally believe that the south Africans are right in this issue, it's not a matter of xenophobia, it's a matter of culture and pride of the land , in my home country the DRC 🇨🇩 we wouldn't allow a foreign to represent us in miss Congo , not because we are xenophobic we are the most welcoming, but it's due to a difference in culture
