  1. Foolishness.

How about trying to understand that she's promoting Africa. Shes genuinely exuding JOY over finding this location and all you can do is complain??

You may be misled into thinking Africa needs no promotion but on a global scale, ALL countries need "promotion" when the rest of the world may be unaware of what they have to offer. Please stop being so over sensitive and negative.

  2. It's such a surprise bc of the programming that we get in the about the continent..

We can't hate on sister.. she is surprised. Most all would be surprised bc we are programmed to think abject poverty.. the only real education is being on the continent.. this content is a nothing burger.. put some real issues in the table.. I'm happy that she went and is showing all of us how it really is.. bravo to homegirl..

  3. Hey my sister. I don't think she was trying to disrespect the motherland. Yes she surprised because she American and they lied to us about Africa from we where baby. I think we forgive our sister for this one.

  4. I could be wrong but, it seemed like she was clowning those people who think Africa doesn't have such places. She did not look surprised but educating in her style on commentary. Just sayin'.

  5. Even more so, why is she surprised, isn't she from the continent, im so sick of color, crayola to identify people BLACK,BLACK,BLACK talk about an enslaved mentality.

  6. HELLO AFRICAN DIASPORA FAMILY. I SAW T.H.'S BEHAVIOR AS BEING HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO SHOW OTHERS THAT AFRICA IS VAST NOT DARK AND RICH NOT POOR. I PUT MYSELF IN HER PLACE AND KNOWING HOW SOME PEOPLE WILL INSIST THAT AFRICA IS AS WE WERE TAUGHT IN SCHOOL TILL THIS DAY DIRTY AND POOR.. T.H. HAS VERIFIED THAT AFRICA IS MORE LIKE AMERICA THAN THE OPPOSITE.

  7. The same way africans are surprised when they come to the United States and meet Black Americans that clearly name countries/nationalities out of Africa. The same way africans, want you to be any other Black ethnicity, other than American, due to them not understanding American history. The same way africans react, when it's discovered a Black American is smart, intelligent, articulate, not from the projects, not in a gang, educated, successful, can play soccer better, a doctor, lawyer, an engineer, a faster runner, or can trace your actual lineage for hundreds of years on American soil. Let's not pretend Africans do not have preconceived notions about other black people outside of Africa. The same way africans claim the immigration office, sets them up to believe all Black Americans are violent gang members…the white media displays Africa as a poor and under-developed continent, also known as colonization. Only your street vendors and villages are shown here, let's stop playing games. Your issue is with the people who control the media…not the people that visit your country.

  8. I dont get why she did this. Maybe because I am South African and grocery stores are a norm. In fact, supermarkets and grocery stores was some of the only successful businesses of Black folks.

  9. I don't think she meant any harm. If you have been told something about a country all of your life, when you get the chance to see it for yourself it hits different. When y'all visit America y'all have misconceptions about all black people being a certain kind of way, so she may have thought the same way about Africa countries. People need to leave that woman alone, and at least she got a chance to visit Zimbawe. Blame the media.

  10. Even if she was trying to show jubilation thats the wrong damn example to use. A grocery store for real now come on. She could have atleast shown modern industry or some upscale neighborhoods and restaurants but a damn grocery store. Thats like coming to new york and showing the world that they have a bus system or cabs.

  11. She needs to understand that there are food deserts in America all over this country, especially in African American communities. In Africa food is fresher and experience less processing than food in America. Food in Africa has a shorter journey to the table than food in America.

  12. Being a black American woman myself she is an embarrassment. Sometimes she could be over the top and very silly. Maybe she just thinks they go out and kill their food who knows with Tiffany haddish. 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️😔🤦🏽‍♀️🤡 But sometimes you got to overlook people like her.

  13. WHY OH WHY WHY WHY DO PEOPLE ON A CONTINENT OF PEOPLE WHO MOSTLY PRAISE EUROPEAN(WHYTE PEOPLE)DEM FOLKS. GET SO UPSET WHEN BLACK AMERICANS REFLECT WHAT THE PEOPLE THEY PRAISE SHOW US ABOUT THEM?????????
IT'S PART OF THE AFRICAN CODE TO NEVER SPEAK BAD OF THE WHITE MAN,AND NEVER SAY THAT THEY ARE VICTIMS…BUT THEY CAN BE TRIBALIST, AND JEALOUS SO IT'S OK TO HATE ON BLACK AMERICANS (FBA'S). BUT NOT BOTH OF OUR ENEMY ❤

  14. We're surprised bc there are so many places where the groceries are limited or unavailable. The best grocery store ive seen was in Johannesburg and Lusaka, the rest get 👎🏽

  15. I think it looks like she is saying the same exact thing that you are saying. Especially when you put in writing her thoughts on it at mark 4:43. Her response is literally saying exactly what you just said. That the perception of African nations has been pushed in the total wrong light. But you are either blatantly ignoring that or you are still disgusted that she and aries spears were grooming young children and you don't want to put that label on her. I also see that you live in such privilege that you can dismiss a fellow black woman learning, acknowledging, and articulating exactly what your thoughts are. "Why do people think there are no grocery stores in Africa?" Again, she said the exact same thing you said, because it has been widely and falsely taught. Emma, you need to get off your high horse. Your anger has blinded you.

  16. I think because we didn't have this or how ours are in decline she more or less was giving your stores props, so you have that wrong wasn't that deep. I would tell if was really a dis or a negative comment.

  17. She is doing nothing different than if I go to a new grocery store chain in any other state I visit. I get excited too, if it’s nice and when Insee all the different regional brands. Oh goodness !
