  1. I've worked on Wall Street and venture capital at major firms in the USA. I also have a technology background in addition to my understanding of the capital markets, so I know what it takes to form a center of innovation. I've been living in SE Asia for more than a decade. I can tell you the title of this video "Why Southeast Asia Will Be The Next Silicon Valley" is ridiculous on so many levels. I'll point out the most obvious reason why and save a full lecture for another audience. The fact is that the education system in SE Asia is largely terrible. Moreover, these countries do not offer citizens freedom of expression nor do they emphasize the arts, all of which are required for innovation. There are other reasons which I will not get into because the ones I've stated suffice. SE Asia is not and will not even become a decent hub for innovation much less anything remotely close to Silicon Valley. It's one of the most ridiculous and ignorant claims I've ever seen.
