  1. Savage has been known forever as one of the most accurate, out of the box, rifles. Some people just hated them because of the very thing that made them so accurate, the barrel nut.
But People serious about accuracy built their bench guns around them. Even today there are the same people complaining about them being ugly, or because they don’t cost enough for bragging rights at the range or camp.
Whatever people, we have four Savages, from my OLD 110 30-06 to my wife’s newish 110 243.
We will keep on enjoying the dependable accuracy and affordability, y’all keep spending on shiny so-so accuracy rifles.
The targets don’t care about bling and the deer LOVE a shiny rifle!

  2. I know it’s a good value rifle , but it’s the modern time , need to have a stock that turn heads , otherwise it looks just like another plain cookie cutter rifle

  3. Lose the lead sled if you want to be really accurate. A rifle must recoil freely! With higher recoiling rifles I have seen 3 inch groups turn into .5 inch groups simply buy ditching that crappy rest…

  4. I think that’s an awesome rifle, been using savage stuff for the past 20 years, and it has never let me down, the consistency is great as well as the quality!!👍👍👍

  5. It's a hunting rifle 1 moa vs .2 moa means nothing. Most hunters that use these rifles will only be shooting up to 350 yards and under hunting conditions. The difference will not be a factor. Better to choose by features, weight, length of pull ect. Bench shooting 6.5 creed vs hunting rifle. I like both rifles so not about that.

  6. @7:00 ……I looked up and had to do a double take because of the ""BED FRAME"" that was visually sticking out of the scope & it had me wondering what the hell part of SIGHTING in the SCOPE that the long piece of metal was going to do, then I REALLY LOOKED at the screen & got it all figured out, A-OK!!!

  7. You know what's annoying? The gun make and model not being in the description and having to skip back and forth through the video to find it.

  8. Thanks for this…Great bang for your buck! Is the actual weight close to the catalogue weight? Looks like they are 8.0 – 8.25 lbs. depending on the caliber you choose.

  9. I've spent countless thousands on custom build LR & ELR over the past 30 years with top builders but never again with the current availability of some factory one hole capable shooters. Sub-1/4 MOA is nearly impossible to beat nowadays even with customs and hand loads. Savage has always been known for good accuracy.

  10. Ruger is making good revolvers BUT their other stuff, that made in NC, is overpriced, getting kinda' sloppy, junky thingies…Just not sold on Creedmore or any of the other "designer"/got-to-be-different calibers. 308 and 30-06 is tried and true. Plus, .308 from AAC is AFFORDABLE FMJ.

  11. I have a Savage 110 that I had modified to take AICS 10 rd magazines. That is the ONLY modification I have made. Has shot sub .25 MOA from day one. The first time I rang steel at a 1000 yards was with this gun. I am STUPID happy with it.

  12. Unfortunately the only true budget rifles left these days (as far as cheap price) are the Mossberg Patriot, Thompson Venture, Savage Axis, etc. Ruger Americans are steady climbing up price wise each year and are getting to the point they are not really budget friendly rifles anymore (price wise anyways)😏. As far as Savage is concerned, even most of the little el cheapo Axis are tack drivers out of the box. I picked up a 18 inch heavy barrel Axis 2 recently in 6 Arc (I'm playing around with that caliber and testing it a little before I start sinking my denero in better quality guns for it) and it will basically cut the same hole with 103 ELD-Xs. Im hoping Savage will release these 110 trail hunters in more intermediate cartridges such as 6.5 Grendel, 6 ARC, etc. Looks like you definitely got a shooter there brother👍

  13. I have a Savage 110 Hunter in 270 Win. Wicked accurate and best group so far is .43. The accufit stock is great for customized cheek weld, but I would drop that for this beauty. Hogue stock and cerakote at that price point, yes please! The only thing wrong I’ve found with these push feeds is short stroking will fail to feed. Not a Savage issue per se, but any push feed we just have to do a full bolt throw to cycle a new round.

  14. what all do i need to put an arken gen 2 SH4 4-16×50 on this rifle? the arken site has a few rings to choose from and i also understand this rifle uses larger screws than most and the right screws wont come with the pic rail.

im lost as shit, i just wanna put the arken on it and thats where it will stay

  15. I have a Savage110BL I bought used in the early80s. I was just starting reloading. I put together4 loads. When I shot the first load it went in 3/4 inch. The other were right at an inch. I used that load ever since for hunting. I have taken more than 50 deer and antelope. 48 grains IMR 4064 165 SBT Sierra in LC match brass.
I love the wood stock. The others work but somehow there's nothing like a wood stock blued rifle. Or handgun for that matter.

  16. Savage is always cheap , it's good because it's cheap , it's cheap because it's good , yep it's good and cheap and cheap is good so it's good because it's cheap .
    No way
