  1. There was a guard standing still in the courtyard by the horse guards when i visited London last month. I asked his permission to take his pic and he have a slow blink in consent 😊 i thanked him and he have another slow blink. I thought it was brilliant!

  2. I did some research and it's not true they will be imprisoned for smiling or laughing. They might get fined and reprimanded, but they won't do jail time. It's easy to research for yourself.

  3. The fainting isn't from the heat, it's from locking their knees.
Which they never seem to stop doing for some reason.
Apparently, they don't listen to not do it or they don't know how to keep from doing it. One or the other.

  4. If you are feeling the urge to misbehave then stay home, stay away from mischievous childish behavior you are not impressing anyone or even being funny, you are just being obnoxious jerks causing trouble for these soldiers and their horses 🤨

  5. They treat their own Royal Guard like they're not even human or worthless….. wow. Truly inhuman. Don't know how the Royal Guard getting THIS mistreated has gone so unnoticed this long. The fact they have to wear that 1 outfit, nomatter how hot or cold it gets……. is cruel. How much are they PAID for that? Do they have insurance? HOW are they trained to protect AND handle extreme weather? WHY are their punishments so severe if they "smile"? WHY are so many bears killed for those ridiculous useless HATS? Just evil for evil sake? How much is worth all that?

All these questions do have answers, that's also the sad part.

  6. As a former German conscript we were taught how to stand still for up to two hours. We had to learn how to move so slowly that it looked like we did not move at all. Our pledge ceremony was held in hot summer and one of us 'fainted to attention' as well.
