  1. He is not saying the movie is bad. He is not saying Mount Zion is bad either. He is not saying God is wicked or that He cannot help or deliver anyone.

That's true, but it might not take you very far in your journey of faith, and you'd find yourself doubting everytime, if you think it always has to be a nice resolved ending.

However, when you compare it with scripture, most Christian dramas cannot stand.

I understand him because I am also in the drama ministry and it's not easy or popular to tell people that not every earthly story has a happy ending. As if God is expected to pay you for the stress you've passed through on earth.

Not always the case. As a Christian, this earth is not your place of comfort and you should never quantify your success by earthly achievements.

Take for example, Stephen who was stoned to death. John who was thrown into a hot cauldron of oil. Peter, who was buried upside down, members of the early church who died by spreading the gospel and holding onto the Bible, so we can have it today.

They all lived very hard lives, and died for Christ's sake, and there was no happy ending where they were promoted to a higher position on earth, or more wealth, or more healing. These people simply gained eternity.

    So yes.

It is a very sound teaching, but the issue is if the church can come to understand that.

Even death is not a tragedy when eternity is in view.

  2. Following our Patriachs of faith and their testimonies, none of them lived tragic all through there were moments of rescue which cannot be said as comic ending but an expected ending as stated by God's word. MZFI has never portrayed a comic ending but an expected ending after much trials, now our God does not take pleasure in ordeals which some are self inflicted or ignorantly inflicted and all these are usually identified in all their movies. Ah there's none of their ministrations that has not either show me my wrong, hope for a better tomorrow and what more I can do to love my God. 30 pieces showed me God is not a robber delay is not denial and then love for souls sets us up high where Christ is. It is well

  3. Thank you so much sir for this.. we understand that real life has real issues and sometimes it might not end up on a positive note.. But I believe we should rather encourage the Christian film industry the more.. sponsorship is very pivotal.. If properly harnessed it could be a very promising venture to reach lost souls.. Let’s put money into the Christian Film Industry.. and see if bloom..

  4. I guess it depends on what you see as "happy ending". He should have chosen his words more carefully. Living a simple life with just food and a roof because you gave all your money away from when you used to be rich to follow christ. That's a happy ending for it is in our ability to be able to be poor as well as ro be able to be rich. That's what the NT tells us

  5. wepl i dont totally agree with that, not all christian movies concludes with a happy ending, the movie legion is a good example of that. One issues i have with some ministers of god is that from just one scenerio they make their conclusions.. Reason why so many marriages and homes have been broken because quick judgements….

  6. You don't have to be an Apostle before you know the truth. Several pages 9f the Scripture affirms victory after tribulation. Actually, the Bible also says any spirit that does not edify, encourage and comfort is ANTICHRIST. May the Lord grant you Understanding!

  7. I agree with you sir!!!!!!!!!
Scriptures has clearly stated that all our suffering may not be wiped out here on earth.

There's a timing for reward, and we may have to die burning on a stake or even in prison, like John the Baptist, but that doesn't mean Christ has failed, or we wasted our lives.

    Matthew 19:27-30

  8. Rapture will take place before the great tribulation. True believers will not be here during the rule of the anti – Christ. Prepare yourself to make the rapture before it is too late.

  9. Pastor you sound so condemning. If you have a problem with another believer like you who's point of view you disagree with why not go meet in person to express what you think is right or wrong for correction, huh? Must you make the correction publicly? Or condemn anyone publicly? Do you even know how strong my faith has become in Christ Jesus and my walk with God through the mount Zion films? I was a prayer less Christian until I found mount Zion movies and started watching… Mount Zion movies has clearly reveal how a true Christian should be very close to God. And as a true Christian there's always a happy ending from earth to heaven (just be a Christian who truly love God and avoid evil). Those Christian who died for the cause of the gospel of Christ died knowing that there hands were clean of any evil but of good. I am a Christian and I should not be living in fear of probability; dying a happy ending or not but rather live in confident knowing that I have Jesus Christ right beside me whom I trust for greater things to come no matter what am passing through today. I have Jesus Christ means I have a happy ending, unless I leave Jesus I'm not sure of a happy ending.

  10. Not just tribulation but Great Tribulation. Rapture will take place before the great tribulation. Only the true Christians will be involved, both the dead in Christ and the ones that are alive will join Jesus Christ in the air. This is not the end of the world.

The non Christians and the careless Christians like 5 foolish virgins that are left behind will face Great Tribulation.
    1 Corinthians 15 1 Thessalonians 4, Matthew 24 and Revelation 7.

  11. There is balancing of the scripture in this film, don't forget is film. In the same film the unrighteous lost all including his child because he looked back. And mind you when things like this happen in real life, it's will be longer than that but for the purpose of film, the message rally round all. The title is 30pieces, talking Abt the man that sold his faith for nothing and is the main message. The never spare his son in the film that he scape through. In short, if you watch it very well to the details, they balance it well. Thank you Pastor.

  12. Pre- tribulation rapture is very correct. Have you read the book of 1and 2nd Thessalonians? Rapture is pre-tribulation and not after it. if all you read is the gospels without reading the epistles, you can never understand the words of Jesus. The gospels gives you knowledge and the epistles gives you understanding.

  13. I disagree with that man, these movies from Mount Zion are Holy Spirit inspired. Remember Mount Zion is a ministry inspired by the Holy Spirit, it's not just a channel like any other.

  14. There are many MZM that the ends are very tragic. Has anyone watched "legion"? I thought as the Yahoo boy in the movie gave his life to Christ, he wouldn't face the consequences but no he never had a happy ending rather he had great joy suffering & working for Christ even as a prisoner.

I have watched over 20 different MZM full movies & I can say the movies don't always have comic endings

  15. Good message but please leave movies out of it. We need more Christian movies and contents. The Bible itself says if you suffer awhile God will settle you. I personally won't watch a movie with a tragic ending.

  16. I just watched the movie yesterday and it was very edifying. Their movie gives hope that God is still in the business of helping and lifting His children. Someone who has not suffered before might not understand.

  17. Christian movies are meant to lift your spirit. Teach you the way of christ, possibilities in christ, etc. MZFM has always done that. 30 pieces, specifically thought confidence, faith and believe in Jesus, for the best part, for struggling kids.

  18. The purpose of the movie is to encourage you not to faint in well doing.

I just watched the movie (30 pieces) tonight.

The first comment I saw in the comment session was a lady who said she's a single mother and already thinking of going back to her fraudulent business so as to meet up with her needs.
She confessed to the movie that it was timely for her.

Inspiration to pen down a movie could be for a single soul.

While acting a drama in my church sometimes ago, one of the cast was crying for real during ministration because the drama ministered to him in person

  19. Hmmm true sir but check carefully 😉 your life has to end happily which u call comedy

There is a place were we belong..we are not of this world
Oh what a joy it will be when I reach my beautiful home

We are made to always prevail at the end of it all

Jus as our Lord Jesus died and rose again 🙂🙂 isn't that a happy ending?
ND we are enjoying salvation Free of charge

  20. I don't think a fervent soul winner backsliding losing his home and son by his own errors sounds comical. If you happen to have someone preached to you ending up like that, you know it's very sobering
It's about choices we make daily in the course of secular interactions and it's up to us to decide
I believe the film is about our day to day experiences outside church walls and consequences of blending with the world
Please remove the word 'comedy' from your flippantly reviews.

  21. The movie depicted what is happening in the world today as a/ to a child of God. Taking your stands for Jesus. And there's room for anyone who has left Jesus ( betrayed) him but you can choose to be a Peter instead of a Judas.(Return to Him) And He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. So I don't see it ending as a comedy.

  22. The people that were martyred in the Bible paved way for us. We are only enjoying the fruit of their labor. If he watches mount Zion movies well, he'll know there are places they show missionaries still suffering for the gospel of Christ, he is the one watching the ones that have a happy ending. If Jesus is the way, and then He is not helping people in the world who are His, how will people believe Him as being the way. If all the happy ending is in heaven, who will believe on earth? If there's a movie that doesn't have a happy ending, then who is Jesus? A God that doesn't reward them that diligently seek Him? Those people have labored, they have done all they could, it's only right for them to have a happy ending as that is who Jesus is.

  23. Some life situations end in tragedy but God's promise to deliver is everywhere in scripture and this should be the basis of our faith as Christians. This is what most Christian movies are portraying, it has built the faith of many, giving them victory over real life situations.
On the issue of rapture, what then is the essence of rapture if rapturable believers are still left here to face the Great Tribulation?

  24. One thing I love a bout MZFI is that their movies aren't just for watching sake or for the sake of making movies, they are holy Spirit inspired movies. And the movies are made to meet special needs of people..
All of their movies are timely and blessing souls daily.

  25. The man is saying something true though I disagree with him on the issue of pre-tribulation rapture.

In real life it doesn't always end on earth like we see in movies. Sometimes the truth is covered till death and the righteous are killed whilst the wicked are set free. Irrespective of the case, whether the righteous are vindicated on earth or taken to Heaven in Grief( Isa. 57:1,2), Righteousness will always lead to a happy ending either on earth or in eternity and Continuous wickedness without repentance will always lead to damnation either on earth or in eternity. There is no peace saith the Lord for the wicked.

But I think if movies especially Christian movies were to end sadly, it will not encourage people to keep on doing the right thing irrespective of the situation. So movies has to be that way to strengthen the faith of believers but we should know that in real life it does not always end well especially here on earth, sometimes you will suffer and die in righteousness like the case of John the Baptist, The Prophets of the old testament and the Apostles.

Suffering is part of the faith of Heavenward pilgrims and if you choose to take your stand it may cost you, your life here on earth but those who think it will always end like in movies they should rethink again

  26. Gospel means goodnews, it's a gospel movie not a secular movie which should have an option to end either in comedy and tragedy. Most of us embraced Jesus because of the hope to reign with him in eternity, nobody will sell his/her religious faith telling you about the tribulations, even the devil sells the best of his offers that look juicy.
