  1. I think it would be interesting to know how many of the comments that are being left are from bots or some forum of AI. This is something that I have noticed is becoming more and more of a problem. A lot of the negative comments that I see or receive are from profiles that have never watched a video and have zero profile info which leads me to believe that these are not real accounts.

  2. I'm with Twitter guy. Sorry y'all. The initial Apple Computers were overpriced and barely did anything. The initial cars were kind of a disaster. The initial planes basically killed everyone. If AI assistants are ever going to get better (I'm not convinced we need them), they have to start somewhere. If top tech reviewers say it's not worth it, it WILL kill the product and maybe the company. Good people put work into those devices to get them where they are. And they'll continue to put work into making better and better products, unless the whole company gets tanked before it even makes a good product. These things are only for people with money to burn and interest in emerging tech anyway, nobody's grandma is getting scammed here.

  3. I love how OpenAI has now announced their new version of the ChatGPT app which includes all the features of the R1 and more, just proving the R1 could have just been an app…which it is, but we'll ignore that for now.

  4. When it’s you’re job to be a critic and you love your Job I see nothing wrong with that.

I’d be worried if he hated being a critic yet did it cause he could make bank. Then he’d be an untrustworthy source

  5. People need to be thankful that we have a man who has (yet to be) bought by big corps in this era with legitimate reviews becoming rarer and rarer.

  6. Is it just me or is Negative Review slamming becoming way more normalized? Especially in the gaming world. I get there is a lot of corruption and money grabbing which may be fueling the flames, but I see more and more community blow-ups over minor decisions from indie devs.

  7. He’s not reviewing a product from 10 years ago, he’s reviewing a new product, that you pay money for, today.

He’s not saying they can’t do better in the future, he’s saying they need to do better in the future.

  8. Perhaps people like scams.

Its turning into like some Stockholm syndrome situation. Maybe these people just blindly bought the product and is now feeling trapped or blue 😂

  9. This is a stupid take. His early videos are no different than a start up trying a product. He wasn’t making much money but people were still paying for it with their time.

If they had all watched his first few episodes saw the low quality and someone said to never watch again and it drove the channel to be abandoned it would be the same. Shitting on nascent things is stupid

  10. Stop making shit products. He is being very fair reviewing these products and i think he is holding back a bit because they are just that terrible products.

  11. He's pointing out facts and that the technology is not ready for public use. Unfortunately companies aren't making technology, beta testing it then mass releasing it. They're slipping steps and charging top prices for non functional products.

  12. This is the most confusing YouTube drama. Everyone who has seen, used, or thought about those pins know they're shit-the rabbit one is running in Android as an APK file you can run on your phone. So MKH is wrong for… Doing his job?

  13. Dude does seem a lot more confrontational lately, particularly with fledgling companies. First generation always has issues, early adopters usually understand that isn't going to be it's final form. He is being way hash on small companies and first gen products.

  14. His job is to tell if products are good or not. That’s why most people go to his channel. Maybe the company should’ve thought about that before releasing a bad product. Maybe people should go after that company to fix their product instead of attacking MKBHD for doing his job. That’s like getting mad at you (Phil) for giving news you don’t like🤦‍♂️

  15. This guy is the absolute MAN and does not compromise is integrity for any company that have tried to send him specific updated version of products, while the inferior product is the one on the market. Good for him.

  16. We in the Netherlands have a comedian, Youp van 't Hek, that talked so much shit about an alcohol-free beer called Buckler and the people that drank it that as a result tanked the sales and is no longer sold here, only abroad.

There were other contributing factors but the numbers definitely dropped significantly after his show.

  17. It’s not like he had never giving unfavorable reviews. He reviewed the Dyson Headphones Mask and rightfully exposed that product for the stupidity it was. Even with the absurdity of the take that “you should never give unfavorable reviews”, why is this happening now?

  18. This screams dumb ass is just mad that MKBHD gave a negative review to the product. They were too stupid to wait for a review for, before immediately shilling and spending their rent money on.
