@akihallakumpu2701

Everything black, I don't want black (they want us to bow)
I want everything black, I ain't need black (down to our knees)
Some white, somethin' black, I ain't mean black (and pray to the God)
I hate everything black (we don't believe)
Black, I want all things black
I don't need black, I want everything black
I don't need black, our eyes ain't black
I own black, I own everything black
Six in the morn', fire in the street
Burn, baby, burn (you, you, you, you, you)
That's all I wanna see (you, you, you, you, you)
And sometimes I get off watchin' you die in vain
It's such a shame, they may call me crazy
They may say I suffer from schizophrenia or somethin'
But homie, you made me (you, you, you, you, you)
Black don't crack
I'm the biggest hypocrite of 2015
Once I finish this, witnesses will convey just what I mean
Been feelin' this way since I was 16, came to my senses
You never liked us anyway, f- your friendship, I meant it
I'm African-American, I'm African, I'm black as the moon
Heritage of a small village, pardon my residence
Came from the bottom of mankind
My hair is nappy, my d- is big, my nose is round and wide
You hate me, don't you?
You hate my people, your plan is to terminate my culture
You're f- evil
I want you to recognize that I'm a proud monkey
You vandalize my perception but can't take style from me
And this is more than confession
I mean, I might press the button just so you know my discretion
I'm guardin' my feelings, I know that you feel it
You sabotage my community, makin' a killin'
You made me a killer, emancipation of a real n-
The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
The blacker the berry, the bigger I shoot
I said they treat me like a slave, cah me Black
Woi, we feel a whole heap of pain, cah we Black
And man a say they put me inna chains, cah we Black
Imagine now, big gold chains full of rocks
How you no see the whip, left scars 'pon me back
But now we have a big whip parked 'pon the block
All them say we doomed from the start, cah we Black
Remember this, every race start from the Black, jus 'member dat
I'm the biggest hypocrite of 2015
Once I finish this, witnesses will convey just what I mean
I mean, it's evident that I'm irrelevant to society
That's what you're tellin' me, penitentiary would only hire me
Curse me 'til I'm dead, church me with your fake prophesizing
That I'ma be just another slave in my head
Institutionalized manipulation and lies
Reciprocation of freedom only live in your eyes
You hate me, don't you?
I know you hate me just as much as you hate yourself
Jealous of my wisdom and cards I dealt
Watchin' me as I pull up, fill up my tank, then peel out
Muscle cars like pull-ups, show you what these big wheels 'bout, ah
Black and successful, this Black man meant to be special
Katzkins on my radar, bitch, how can I help you?
How can I tell you I'm making a killin'?
You made me a killer, emancipation of a real n-
The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice
The blacker the berry, the bigger I shoot
I said they treat me like a slave cah me Black
Woi, we feel a whole heap of pain cah we Black
And man a say they put me inna chains cah we Black
Imagine now, big gold chains full of rocks
How you no see the whip, left scars 'pon me back
But now we have a big whip parked 'pon the block
All them say we doomed from the start cah we Black
Remember this, every race start from the Black, go scream mother
I'm the biggest hypocrite of 2015
When I finish this, if you listen, then sure you will agree
This plot is bigger than me, it's generational hatred
It's genocism, it's grimy, little justification
I'm African-American, I'm African
I'm Black as the heart of a f- Aryan
I'm Black as the name of Tyrone and Darius, excuse my French
But f- you, no, f- y'all, that's as blunt as it gets
I know you hate me, don't you?
You hate my people, I can tell 'cause it's threats when I see you
I can tell 'cause your ways deceitful
Know I can tell because you in love with that Desert Eagle
Thinkin' maliciously, he get a chain then you gon' bleed him
It's funny how Zulu and Xhosa might go to war
Two tribal armies that wanna build and destroy
Remind me of these Compton Crip gangs that live next door
Beefin' with Pirus, only death settle the score
So don't matter how much I say I like to preach with the Panthers
Or tell Georgia State, "Marcus Garvey got all the answers"
Or try to celebrate February like it's my B-Day
Or eat watermelon, chicken, and Kool-Aid on weekdays
Or jump high enough to get Michael Jordan endorsements
Or watch BET 'cause urban support is important
So why did I weep when Trayvon Martin was in the street
When gang-banging make me kill a n- blacker than me?
Hypocrite!

@Rayebae738

Love this damn song

@AbsurdCats

In a time when I have unsubbed from creators who comment on the black experience in ways that are problematic, stereotypical and prejudicial, there is you. I’m cautious and optimistic. I keep my sub here and my views here because not only do you approach what you understand in a learned way, but you don’t SHY AWAY from the conversations that need to be had. I’m not saying your theories or ideas are always right, I’m saying you don’t assume the worst in us and that’s the bar still in 2024.

@anju5124

We've been waiting for this, waiting for this, waiting for this, waitinggg foor thiiiisss…

@betmo

it's interesting this video…i found some gen z black youtubers talking about how they don't fit in with the 'black culture' as it's portrayed in the mainstream…they discuss how they grew up and were ostracized for not listening to rap and hip hop…didn't 'twerk'….weren't 'loud and rude'….identified with conservatives….i wonder if kendrick was tapping into that? or if this is a personal conflict? thought provoking from kendrick…and it's a big reason i consider him a top tier artist…❤

@wheatthicks

I know you know this and it was just a honest flub, but Trayvon Martin wasn’t a victim of police brutality.

@ArtisDefiniition

As soon as the beat dropped i was like Wu-Tang!

@jonassrensen4341

Sorry to say. But there is no dark side of the moon. We can thank Pink Floyd for people thinking that, after naming their album The Dark Side Of The Moon

@SpiderJAAM

My favorite Kendrick song next to m.A.A.d City. The anger and fury in Kendrick's voice and the message of hypocrisy is just perfect.

@unbecoming127

11:23 in addition, the community is sabotaged by the dumping of guns and drugs into it and profiting off of the destruction of the community.

@alieditzs

This is Kendrick's best song
And the opening verse by Kendrick is one of the best in hip hop history great break down as always Knox!

@7472wayne

It would be sick if someone comes with an album called ‘Whips and Chains’ and the album cover was a dichotomy of slavery and perceived wealth through whips and chains.

An effective cover could split the image: one side could portray the harsh, historical imagery tied to oppression, such as broken chains or shackles in a dark, minimalist style, while the other could showcase sleek, modern representations like luxury cars and jewellery. The contrast could highlight how certain symbols have shifted or been reclaimed, opening up a powerful commentary on history, consumerism, and identity.

@nnajilight8008

Knox your very educated and brilliant, you yearn for knowledge!!!
As a Nigerian living in my country, i resonate strongly with kdot since 2014
Keep the good work knox

Couldnt find genocism but interestingly genoISM a concept from the movie gattaca has now become reality and could app!y here in the philosophical and ethical Senses! #LearnedaNewWord!

Consumerist slavery is keeping all of the working class enslaved and furthering the despair of the impoverished and those who always seen as the have nots or less than.

@freshwaterbeatz

South Africa found his pronunciation of Xhosa funny il never forget when this song dropped 😅

@tonyareed5083

Hey Knox! Thx 4 chiming in. This is your first Reaction to TBTB from TBAB? Many classics on TBAB. TBTB is one of them. 🙂His 2016 Grammy performance of the song is also astounding and classic. 7:57 During a new moon, the moon appears black because the moon's dark side faces Earth. This happens when the moon passes through the same part of the sky as the sun.

@robinvolpi

Soooo… based on a history of comments this guy has made in the past, I think it's safe for me to question whether or not he chose this track because the white-nationalist trump was just elected, Black ppl overwhelmingly denounced his presidency (although he shaved a few numbers) and he wants to emphasize that Black ppl can be 'hypocritical' in fighting white-nationalism when they often kill one another, although that's the case with every ethnic group? 😉 lol

Trojan Horse….

@floridastate6543

Just bad music

@meswil

everytime u do breakdowns to this songs i lesson to it different.

@KeenanSuber

My man Knox! I truly appreciate your break down of all these bars! I just started watching reactions this year. For my opinion’s worth, I find that a lot of reactors react to how dope or venomous the bars are and I can appreciate that because I can feel it too most of the time. Others give break downs but they are so boring or have too many unnecessary filler moments. In your reactions, I stay engaged and LEARNNNN more insight into the artist’s head and I get those “ahhh, that’s what he/she meant” moments. You also appreciate the dope venomous bars too, so you really give the all around experience! And finally, this break down is special to me as this is my favorite Dot song. Appreciate you brother, keep it up!

@OkiAlparedo

Request xg howling🙏
