This Ghanaian Snack Turned Out Much Better Than I Expected | Cooking In Ghana
I made kakloo for the first time in a long time and they surprisingly came out very well. They didn’t last very long in my house though. Lol.

Good cooking video, Dela. I love this, especially for the kids. Kaklo is a nutritious, homeade snack for the kiddos!
This looks very nice ! Whaaat That whole bag for just 5 cedis 🙀, the way they cheat me in Ghana 😭
Add cloves next time, it gives nice taste
Dela, that kaklo can go better with ketchup than okro soup, so cant go wrong haha.
It’s good to learn, it looks good!❤️
Run cold water over the onion after peeling. It will help with the eye burning
My favorite mmmm
Hi Della, pls blend the onion, a bit of ginger and a little pepper 🌶 together and add it to the ripe plantain mixture with salt.it gives it the real taste of kakloo
I think you are not good in
I cook by eye as well. Unless I'm making something from a specific recipe. I only put onion in my salt fish fritter, never had it in ripened banana or plantain fritters. Interesting. You can give me when I visit you. Blessings from London ❤️🇬🇧🇯🇲
The Kaakro are so lovely and yum 💕🇬🇧🇬🇭
Love this
That's so funny you say flitters. We say that in 🇯🇲 we make it for breakfast we put shredded codfish in it. Do a video on it please?
My son loves when I add crush ripe bananas to make his pancakes.
It's with time that the plantain or even bananas will get over ripe (Jamaican) have experience with these fruits.
Welcome back chief cook, well done.
In Jamaica we call this fry dumpling fritters
The more I watch Ghanaian content creators the more I find out the origin of lots of Jamaican metals. Most Jamaican are descendants of enslaved Ghanaians. This meal is one that I use to have as a child. 🇯🇲
Good stuff
The best cook's doesn't measure they have good judgement
SECRET TIPS FOR DELA
In order to avoid tearing when cutting onions 🧅.
(1) Remove the outer papery layer
(2) Cut the onion into two halves or four pieces.
(3) Hold them under COLD running water for some few minutes.
(4) Chop them to small pieces. No Tears.
Look what we have here, Dela redeeming herself from the last video. lol! But I see spiderman and little men on standby. Little men making the evacuation plan path just in case there's a situation, by practicing running in and out of the kitchen. lol… Looks really good Dela. You should do a video called Dela's favorite plates.
Looks tasty! I'll try that!👋🏾
Red onions taste stronger than the yellow. I 💘red onions, they taste better
We have something similar here in #Jamaica
But we use ripe bananas
😋😋💙💚🇯🇲🇯🇲
Seriously someone asked it that was the #new kitchen?
🙃🙃🙃
Hi Dela!
I've never had a plantain before. However, you make them look delicious! Also, I see what you mean about the kitchen. Tragic LOL 😆
Dela why did you not fry it in palm oil?
You're a *freestyle* cook?
🤔😂😊🇯🇲
