We will be happy to hear your thoughts
  1. The Arabs never had a problem when Elizabeth Taylor played Cleopatra!! Everyone was quiet!!

  2. As a black man that reads and studies the modern-day Egyptians did the same thing the Europeans did to South Africa killed off the native people and called the land their own

  3. Egyptians are from the descendants of ham

  4. I don't like all three.

  5. As an American I would like to apologize to Egypt for the racist actions of liberal woke black Americans. Their actions on this have been disgusting at best and at least the rest of the world can now see the racist lunacy we are having to deal with from them.

  6. I don't like to take sides, but what Bassem Youssef said, he speaks facts. I am Afro American. Through centuries, Egypt's culture has been diluted and has been both White and Black washed. And it continues to be, especially with genetic studies that are being done. Egypt continues to be Whitewashed, although more focus is on Blackwashing, especially since 'Cleopatra' was released. There's not enough evidence for older kingdoms of Egypt, but Egyptians have always been Egyptians. And even before invasion, slavery and conquests, Egyptians skin colors have come and still come in a variety of shades. But regarding Cleopatra, she was a Greek, who ruled over Egypt. She even considered herself to be Egyptian, although ethnically, she was Macedonian Greek. She had a part in Egyptian culture and history, yes. But, the facts and evidence should've been taken in consideration. Were there any Black/Nubian rulers of Egypt? Yes, there were. She could've made a documentary about that instead, showing how Nubians contributed to the Egyptian culture. I'd just like, for once, to see an actual Egyptian play an Egyptian.

  7. is like they are stealing from older films because they can't come up with their own movies, yes they are stealing and appropiating other cultures which is ironic because they are the first ones to complaint if other cultures dare to appropiate "theirs", yet here they are making awful copy cat movies and lying about historical facts. Shame on you Netflix.

  8. 😂😂😂😂😂 Egypt is in the Northern African continent right? You humans are goofy as fuck.

  9. This man is a fucin fairytale.. black people was there way before you..✊🏿✊🏿💪🏿💪🏿💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

  10. Greeks are European so she definitely IS white .

  11. Cleopatra was Greek….. let’s be honest of the color of Greeks. Further, royalty was known for inbreeding. So while we may know her lineage as a Ptolemaic ruler, it’s safe to say she’s probably the product of two Ptolemys

  12. Egypt was all black 5000 years ago just because someone kills and stealing someone else's culture in order for you to exist makes you flat out liar.. black people was civilizing people around the world.. lies…✊🏿✊🏿💪🏿💪🏿💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

  13. Americans can’t handle being wrong

  14. You angry arabs and pale folks can have cleopatra Ancient Egypt was founded and maintained by melanated/black Africans until to you foreigners jumped the bandwagon and forced yourselves into Egypt.

  15. i think the problem is it is trying be woke once again. just give up Hollywood.

  16. 5:42 he tries to say she was Greek but still black 😂😂😂

  17. when the Wwnes dude starts making faces like he all it when not even knowing the history of other races is just blatant disrespect. It's the same face I made as a kid when I kept saying no everything I say is right even thou im wrong and I don't want to admit it. the lack of understanding and respect of baffling.

  18. It’s true Egypt has been invaded and colonized many times but Hollywood is evil. Most time they twist the story even though there is some level of truth they are deceitful to suit their agenda.

  19. First of all, Cleopatra was NOT Egyptian. She was Greek. Secondly, to dilute the diversity of Egyptians into this typical portrayal of African people in the media, is discriminatory, not just to Egyptians, but to Africans in general. If what comes to mind when you think of Africans is curly hair and black skin, then you are prejudicial and even racist. I don't think any of these people who make these movies has even been to any country in Africa. Egyptians can have fair skin and blue eyes like Bassem and also black skin. That is not the issue. The issue is misrepresenting history. We know that Cleopatra was NOT black. We know that with almost 100% accuracy. How will you all feel if Abraham Lincoln was played by a black actor? Or Obama by a white actor? You will be enraged. This has nothing to do with politics or identity or whatsoever. It's just facts and common sense tells us that facts can't be twisted.

  20. Funny how I can't assume someone's pronouns yet they can re-imagine someone's races.

  21. What about Wakanda

  22. I'm waiting for a Martin Luther King documentary, I think Keanu Reeves could play him.

No matter what they teach in school, Martin Luther King was white

  23. 3:22 😂

A lost people grasping at straws…

  24. If Mr Bassam knew his history properly he would know that the oldest people of Egypt were Kush/Kushite people which were blacks…+ to respond to his intellectual dishonesty Africa isn't just concentrated on the West part it's the entire continent…(I'll pass) People are mad because they've been trying to erase blackness from history books when we're your history 😂… let's talk about Afro Egyptians I wish they could have a say in this..we know they are discriminated against in Modern day Egypt

  25. Talks about nationality then says someone is British, Britain isn't a nation buddy.Typical dumb college "educated" american says a lot but nothing at the same time. Then makes stupid faces like a child when hearing an opinion that doesn't support his idealogy. The black dude is way out of his depth so makes silly faces, then I'm sure spent all later that day on spitting venom on twitter where he can have time to respond and do wikipedia research.🤣🤣🤣

  26. They didn't have a problem when Cleopatra was portrayed as a Persian/Arab though :) She wasn't those either.

  27. According to the author Chancillor Williams in his book The Destruction of Black Civilization, Egypt was "black" african in origin. "Black" meaning that the africans that established Egypt as a Kingdom were of a much darker hue. Not only that, but, Chancillor goes on to write that, and I'm paraphrasing a bit, Egypt was what one could consider an extention of Nubia and/or Kush. He's also writes about these black africans continuously having to come from the south to reestablish order and take back control from invading asiatics. Now, I understand that Egypt had eventually come under greek rule, hence, the ptolemaic dynasties, but, I don't know that we as black people can trust that the modern day Egyptian will give historical credit where credit is due regarding Egypt's black african origin.

  28. I wait for the black swiss heidi movie🤣😂🤣
