1. Yugoslavia’s History and Cultural Context: Learn how Yugoslavia’s unique history, including the Non-Aligned Movement, shaped a region free from the history of slavery and racism.

2. Life…

"No Racism and anti Colourism in Serbia" 💀💀💀💀 Come anywhere south of Smederevo

@eisernes-regiment

Welcome in Serbia, sister! 🫶

@Stefan-g3v

To add – Serbs were a serfs and slaves of Turks and when we rise up in 19 th century and create a free state, one of the first things in our constitution was a law that EVERY slave or serf that come to Serbia become a free man. That's why many run away slaves tried to come here and many becomes serbian citizens. Also, we forbidden transition of slaves across Serbia. There is an famous incident were turkish slaver tried to went to Turkey across Serbia with slave girls. When people in Belgrade realised who are that girls, mob tried to catch him and kill him. Girls get freedom and slaver was kick off from Serbia for good.

@MrImmortalTT

Please don't share this with the rest of the Americans, we dont want American freedom here, less Americans here better for us

@adamvujasanin928

No, there is none! We love people for who they are! Serbs are the last free people.

@Katu3572

OMG the more I listen to this its ridiculous- Why would there be a census with other races ??? (Eastern Europe/Balkans are ethnically homogenous mostly). What's Systemic racism? Eastern Europeans haven't had the disaster of cultural enrichment just yet / robberies / gang bangers / if they were exposed to this they may change their mind like most Western Europeans. USA woke BS

@DexMaster881

One Caveat here to be mindful of.
Although your friends will try their best to be gentle around Sensitive things you are used to in the West, Serbs in General will tolerate a bit, but you will learn about Serbian Main Virtue and Flaw: Spite.
I say this because I have witnessed 2 occasions of Public disorder in Serbia committed by Black Women. One from the UK and one from the US.
The specifics I am talking about are pilling the race card.
That doesn't work here.
Whats more you are digging yourself into a deeper ditch.
Serbs above, all due to history, hate when someone tries to subjugate and Limit them forcefully. So pulling that to win an argument, you just pulled a knife on someone and the Fight is ON.
As Blair explained Serbians and Other Balkan Slavs were slaves(the world in English even comes from it), but she didn't mention that was Way before and during the Atlantic Slave trade.
So pulling an Oppressed card doesn't work.
You will not be judged on any trait unless you play that card. If you are in any group, you will be a part of that group that happens to be a dark skinned person, thats it. You are just a member of the group with certain genetic features, and that's all of us.
When you pull the Race card, you become THAT Black person.
So Be mindful that Serbs do not comply to western standards and we hate being policed.
What you can and can not say Will not apply here. Especially by law. So you will just make enemies instead of friends.
Just so you Understand pretty much all people I have met were cool and open to everything, I am talking about one thing we all have, and thats THAT ONE FRIEND.
The Person that can't read the room, or in modern slang, Karen.

@arodic

I wonder if roma and middle-east people have the same experience. I doubt it 😅

@markoni1089

And you ve forgot to say that womem can walk safely trough the city at any time,things that became impossible in western europe and in the usa !

@Katu3572

There is no racism mostly anywhere if you act civilised. Having said that mass immigration – no thanks. Also tiring listening to the slave BS constantly.

@bagavondo2477

you do realise that racism isnt just for black people?…ask them what they think of their neighbours…learn history!

@dejankrstic514

A kakve predrasude imamo prema Romima?

@TheDwarfly

Maybe they aren't racist… but they are nationalists… crazy nationalist!

@007vrsika

Naravno mi imamo moral sto je kod vas izvrnuto , neka se ljuti ko god hoce ….

@chalkconcept9944

I'm Serbian living in LA california. Enjoy Serbian vibes ❤

@riftvvideo3115

Biggie and 2pac contributed a lot to us appreciating black people in a way❤💯

@bozinoski

I’m Macedonian living in the USA. I think you will have the same experience in Macedonia as you have in Serbia.

Also it is shocking to me how USA is set up, specifically the funding of schools. It is the most implicitly racist and unfair system I can think of.

@ShonitoFernandes

True, we aren't racists, even though there used to be some incidents in football games in the past. You seam to be a very kind person and that will open you many doors in Serbia. Welcome to Serbia!

@nznamp

I'm really happy for you that you feel welcomed and free from racism. In Balkans and even Central Europe, the experience often depends on one's background. When it comes to skin color, there's even a level of positive discrimination at times. Black individuals might be seen as 'exotic' and treated better than the average person in certain situations. However, this can have limits, as prejudice often depends on one's social or economic position. True systemic racism, though, is most evident in the treatment of Roma people, who face significant discrimination and marginalization.

@bladerunner7781

you don t know, what you talking about…

@al_ns4930

hehe…I read the title – Serbia is the last racist country in the world.. and go angry like what?? what kind of nonsense is this…I don't recognize and don't know races, and I haven't left Serbia more than 5 times, and I don't plan to !!.. then I realized that I am blind, hehe!! cheers..

@whatupjrk5275

Girl I like u already! lol great energy fr

@Naturenature3054

Thank you how you present my country ❤️

@autopilot3176

Their first name in 1818. was Servia, when they first became a group. "servi" is latin for "sIaves", hence that proclamation you mentioned made in 1835. by their first king in their first kingdom, created on previously uninhabited empty flat-lands (gunpowder made it possible). They changed letter V into B. Youngest nation in Europe. They speak Bosnian language since their Constitution 1888., but they call it "servian" ("sIave language") since 1908. when they started printing Bosnian dictionary and grammar books with their name on it. Identity crisis. Theft. They all have Bosnian first and last names. They were called Servia even in 1914, they are in all world newspapers first day of WW1 when Austria declared them war. Imagine switching the letter out of the blue, in 1915. when they shocked London and New York, there are photos of those news articles online.

@lucdrouin2625

True. White guy from Canada who had black friends in Canada who experienced racism in Canada and had friends who were black in Serbia as well. Its just a fun place with no hang ups. I think their music says it all.

@Najmepolevati

Ajde pitaj te tvoje srbe malo za rat 91.

@9and7

4:44 LMFAO!!!

Yeah, that's it! You're doing great!!!

@dusanjovic718

Racism is no problem here, but corrupt politics that are like dictators now, controlling, toying, enforcing shameful reality shows, lgbt….
Smart people see thru this , but many stupid people buy it
Like thay buy feminism, satanism, racism in America

@milosbabovic8221

Samo pozitiva i kvalitetan zvuk..

@m1lst3r

Blair, the only reason you don't see racism in Serbia is because we don't try to scowl at foreigners when we see them crossing the street. But we are not very keen on black people moving on here and living here. We are against miscegenation.

@adamdragon8549

There is no Racism in Serbia because American Black Racists don’t live there. Let me tell
Ya , biggest racists are those people who always talk about it, and American Blacks always talk about it.

@onlyjoshing

Father Turbo Qualls is a black man who became a serbian orthodox priest because he loved the people so much.

@Fugazi-News

In the Antebellum period, Mulato were the most racist against other blacks in Louisiana

@Fugazi-News

There is no Macedonia Nation, it has been a region of Greece for 2500 years

@osmaks1518

People think it's about the skin color, but it was never about the race, not even in the U.S.
It's was always about ethnicity and religion which give you a set of specific cultural traits that massively divide people because they're so different..
Historically there are probably more cases of white people that hurt white people and black people that hurt black people, than it being mixed white-black/black-white..

@GrumpyKitsune

I would Disagree ! Live ther a´s a Gipsy and say the same thing ! Only cause you are in certain circles and not in the ones which will call you Crnjo or other slurs does not mean that there is no racism in Serbia.. PS: Slave word came from the SLAVEN which are the population of Balkans and east Europe which have been taken into slavery by the Romans or Vikings ! But still we will all Welcome you with open arms and offer you the last piece of bread .

@kamencic

Thanks Blair. While we are far from perfect nation and have a lot of problems racism is not one of them.

@brothabox6998

Welcome to Serbia sister❤

@oooooo6270

BRAVO👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

@cme1713

Ghana is non racist

@DOPEGEEE

Woow, Im so proud. Serbia is still gettin recognized, by a american women. Thank you very much. We dont judge people by race or color. No slaves in Serbia. The USA should learn about us serbians. We deserve more than beeing the villian in Hollywood. We love our freedom more than everything. Nice job, keep it up.

@GrumpyEyeAudio

There is racism, but towards the Roma people or "gypsies" as we call them. There was no slavery here, especially because the etymology of the word "slave" comes from the word "slav". Slavic people were enslaved, and sold around europe, asia and africa back in those days… Before the war in the 90s, we had all "races" or should I say ethnicities in Serbia. Most came here for the education, but a lot of them stayed to work. As a musician, one of the most fascinating facts is that Lou Bega (mambo nr.5) was actually born and raised in Belgrade, because his father was a teacher on one of our colleges (or as we call them faculties).

Anyway, ljubav za tebe iz Beograda. <3
