On today’s episode of Inspire Global, he walks us through his business journey, from selling his first bag at Ksh.37,000 to becoming the face behind what is now being termed as Africa’s…

8:50 "When you have been called by the creator to become a pioneer, you don't know where you're going". Let post here a quote along those lines, from Hakeem Belo-Osagie, a Nigerian billionaire in private equity: "When you go into war, it is like walking into fog, you cannot see very clearly precisely what there is on the other side. I love that analogy because I think that one of the key factors for success in business is you must have that mental attitude to walk boldly through the fog of uncertainty that is an inevitable part of business".
JOK A JOK…..
This rings a bell in my mind. Used to use some mini bus plying Nyahururu to Nanyuki through Olpejeta years ago in the 80's . Any relationship ? He is destined to succeed.
I loved this interview. Thank you Lynn for bringing phenomenal, inspiring guests on your show.
Talk about interviewing authentic African brand ambassadors, consider bringing Ciiru Waithaka of Funkidz furniture & homes, Anjiru to the show. Ciiru has provided an opportunity to many men & women to earn a decent living through making beautiful stuff using locally available materials, and not only sales them locally, but she's penetrating the global market. She is even now added value to cotton by processing it into beautiful locally made textile.
Let's tell the African stories, support each other, It can be done, good job Lynn❤❤❤Be still and Listen to the Voice Within❤❤❤❤
Leather all the way❤❤
Alot of teaching. Great ideas
Wow, I had no idea that this is what Tedd Josiah is up to these days. His music production was legendary and ahead of it's time. I've definitely heard of JokaJok though. We severely underrate what we have as Africans, yet there are many examples showing that we can be the best in the world.
As an SME i totally resonate with him, there are days of self doubt, there are days you forego making your nails and hair just because you have to reinvest in business, people will judge you for being mean hardly do they understand your journey.
Well done Tedd. Been following jokajok from it's inception. You give value. Keep growing!
African leaders have failed us, truth be told. They have allowed the west to manipulate the continent Congratulations JKJ, the sky is the limit .. but do I say❤❤😂
I love the man. He makes a lot of sense.
I've really admired this jokajok bags from way back..nipesatu!😅 Otherwise ….God knows. My take home…believe in yourself always,be your own cheerleader.
I am literally saving to get this brand 😂😂. Class it is. Thank you, Lynn, for bringing Tedd on board.
I love this guy
Lynn Could you do this again in Kiswahili, . It will help our people 95% Africa is RICH we just need to open up or to change the mindset😮
We allowed them to patent the kikoy😢
Safi sana tujivunie lugha yetu , utu ubuntu 🎉
Africans we not poor, it's just our mindset that is hindering us. Now it's time for Africa to rise. We have good example here from Josiah. This is GUCCI of Africa.
We pay that amount of money for Samsonite and AT quality, so why not support home grown Jokajok quality?
Thank you for insights and inspiration.
Tupitiane wapendwa 🙏🏾🙏🏾
So how can i get a bag in the USA?
Keep going. Africa has to take itself essentially back. Governments have to change their governance to benefit the people and empower them. We need to empower each other
Perseverance and take constructive criticism
Come abroad then you see for yourself then you will appreciate your own
Very Inspiring 🎉
I have carried Jokajok bag on travel abroad and many have stopped me to ask where they could get one like that. The recent one was when a guy from Senegal asked me on a flight, I had to open Jokajok IG page and he loved all he saw. He said he was going to make his order once we got to Nairobi. Jokajok has gone global🎉
These bags are so beautiful, look strong and good quality. I hope to get one all the way in USA
To those saying the bags are overpriced. Think of some Birkin bags going for over 1 million Kes. Let's appreciate our own
For genuine brand products his bags aren't expensive, I mean 12 k is something someone can save in 6 months and you get a genuine product, look at Louis Vutton and Chanel products , how many Kenyans/Africans can afford 800 k for a bag?
Where can one purchase the bags from
The travel bag is must in my collection… amazing piece
I'm even learning Swahili because of your channel Lynn, I don't Wana miss anything here ❤
Do whatever you do as though you are doing it for your maker. This is powerful. May this be our mindset. Excellency in everything!
What a man
The bags are beautiful. 🇿🇦
Before we can ask the government to support us, what can we do to support it. The government is amorphous and can't be touched.
The bible does not support poverty.
Job was a rich man, Abraham was rich, King David etc.
It also guides on generation wealth prverbs 13:22.
Lets not blame Christianity when lies and not truth are preached.
The colonization had its own agenda.
Good work Lynn and crew…To Ted keep it going…wacha nipate pesa ntatembea
