The Worst Period To Time Travel To…

The Permian period lasted from 299 to 251 million years ago and was the last period of the Paleozoic Era. The distinction between the Paleozoic and the Mesozoic is made at the end of the Permian in recognition of the largest mass extinction recorded in the history of life on Earth.

  1. Why are stem-mammals still being referred to as 'mammal-like reptiles'? This term is inaccurate, and misleading. It doesn't reflect the changes during the Permian period which led to the evolution of true mammals in the Triassic.

  2. You have made a spectacular video that I’m throughly enjoying. I realize that you have put a lot of hard work, effort, and dedication into the making of this project!
Thanks a million for sharing this experience with us viewers!

  3. I find that it would have been interesting yet fun to have lived during this time period. The sights would have been unbelievable! Even a brief 90 years would have been satisfying for myself. Just think, you could be checking out my fossilized skeleton today in some museum!

  4. Also need to consider the sun was cooler than it is now, the moon was closer and Earth, which has an ecliptic orbit, was ever slightly nearer to the sun. Also may consider planetary positions may have been different as well.

  5. You say that climate changes due to volcanic eruptions caused “rapid” changes. How long is rapid, geologically speaking at least? We are talking about hundreds of millions of years ago. So I’m just curious what you mean exactly by rapid? 1 year? 100 years? 1 million years?

  6. why do you show maps of Pangaea Proxima (the super continent that may happen in 250 million years) mixed in with maps of Pangea (the super continent that was 250 million years ago?).

It makes me doubt the rest of the video, because that is sloppy editing.
Bad start to say the least.

Dimetrodon went extinct by the end of the Permian period.
You are contradicting yourself here: Earlier this video you had stated that Dimetrodon lived until 272Myrs ago which is about 20Myrs before The Great Dying.

… of over 90% of dinosaur species …
No. It happened before even the first dinosaurs were around.
