Thank you DC🙏🏼💔🕊️🦌
Sending all my love and support to Celine. Praying she finds Melanie.

Hearing all these familiar regional restaurants and shops is so weird
I cant imagine the pain of losing a child but to just not know must be utterly crushing. I hope shes found someday and her mother gets to bring her home to rest
So tragic😢
I may seem stupid, but I have to ask: WHY would you specify "long braided black hair" when it could have been cut or un-braided by someone? How about " long black hair that was braided, but may have been altered"? Because if I were a criminal, and I kidnapped someone, the FIRST thing I would do would be to alter their appearance: hair cut/dye/bleach/extensions/whatever. If I could think of that without being criminal, imagine what the criminals are dreaming up!!!
Heartbreaking case ❤ Melanie and I are the Sam age ; I’ve gone on to have a career and 2 children, one which is half Botswanan . Melanie’s mother is an incredible woman, I pray she finds her daughter and they receive justice .
Thank you for covering this case. I hope one day we find out what happened to Melanie to give her mom, family and friends gets some peace.
Could Melanie have been trafficked?
Stephanie's father seems the most likely suspect. A troubled man with substance abuse issues that had a track record of making advances toward minors… with DEEP nail marks in his arms from "play fighting" with Melanie right before she went missing… that's just too much to ignore. I sincerely hope and pray that the family finds her body someday although I can't imagine how it would come to pass.
your dedication to the more obscure cases is to be commended. The fact that they are obscure is largely and sadly due to the identity of the victims which is shameful for the authorities who seem to see these victims as less than. Thank you for your efforts.
As a mixed race black woman myself, i appreciate when creators raise awareness about these cases. I feel like they don’t get as much attention as other cases. I hope there are answers for the family at some point.
Truly do not understand why people are commenting about her being out at 2am. Are you going to criticize what she was wearing next? (3:45) Her mother didn't know she was out that late, Melanie was supposed to be at a friend's house. No matter if it was 2am or 2pm, Melanie should've been safe walking home in her own community. Poor child never got to grow up.
Unfortunately unless they find her remains it will always be a mystery. I do think Denis Léveillé is the # 1 suspect after learning more about him.
A 15-year-old girl walking alone home at night… Where was her mother?
This story hits close to home, thank you for the coverage ❤
RIP Melanie. Breaks my heart she coudn't phone for a ride or help. Also that Dezi sounds guilty as sin.
She’s beautiful
RIP!
❤ missing for so long.hopefully the family gets some answers soon
Yet another example of tragedy stemming from permitting young children or teenagers to out and about at night unsupervised. My "over protective" attitude had given rise to some arguments with my children. However, I would much rather have to face a temper tantrum than to lose one of them. My kids are all grown up now with children of their own, and they are now the ones being "over protective".
Sad story rest in peace Melanie🙏 Thanks for sharing.👍
❤❤❤❤❤
ANOTHER stupid White woman duped bya fly-by-night African. Disgusting
I think the guy who admitted it & then comitted suicide & the guy with scratches, Denis, did it together.
I remember hearing about Melanie on the Cold Case Detective channel. This case is very chilling. I hope the answers are found soon.
A investigator/podcaster name David R. did an amazing investigation into Melanie's disappearance. His series is called "The Next Call". Listen to the series on this case and you will know who took/killed Melanie. It is truly frightening.
I'll state the obvious…. Someone knows something there's a lot of suspicious people.
Thank you for covering Melanie’s case.
Am i overprotective of me to think that a Fifteen year old shouldn’t be out at 2 am ?
The cops sound like they have a handle on it. She was either abducted by someone who knew Melanie. Or maybe by a stranger.
Why the heck are these kids out so late.
I remember when this happened. I live in North Bay about an hour and a half south of New Liskeard
I lived in Ontario at the time Melanie disappeared. Paul Bernardo was on trial at the time, and there was so much attention paid to that, I can't remember hearing about Melanie at all. I hope her and her family find peace.
I’m sorry for Melanie’s disappearance. I sincerely hope there will be a break in the case. It is likely Melanie is now in the hereafter.
The scratches on his arm from "play fighting" was the smoking gun for me. In no scenario ever would a grown adult play fight with a 15 yr old girl, and get scratched on top of that
1:04 someone take the BBC
This is one Canadian case that really spooks— and baffles— me. Unless her remains are found, I’m really not hopeful that we’ll ever have answers.
So sad, I hope they find her😢
This story happened just north of where I live. It's so sad. Her poor mum is devastated.
Her mother is pretty strong. I don't know if my parents would do that.
Her pictures encapsulate the 90s.. she will forever remain in that Era. I hope she's found someday.
😭💔
Just fifteen years old, such a tragedy. I hope her family gets some answers at some point.
It's sad. She had a pretty face. Personally, whether a lady is thin or not, it's a pretty face that I adore first.
Better than first. I got this video to 69 views.
Whenever I hear that a child was a 'second mother' to younger children it makes me cringe a little. It can be a wonderful and responsible thing or a red flag. Maybe that's because of my own history…
