  1. Huh 🤔. how do they get on shows and stumble on basic questions? Do they not challenge themselves before getting on Live broadcasts?

  2. I will state this fact about medical history. African enslaved women, in America, were experimented on and a lot of the “findings” from that torture are the basis of medical procedures of today. In particular, the speculum, was created from experimentation on enslaved, African women. There is a long held belief black women can endure more pain than other women of different ethnic origins. There have been cases where black women have complained of excruciating pain and were ignored by medical staff, & they later died as a result of what was going on in their body.

  3. My daughter also had pre-eclampsia and delivered her child at 34 weeks. She is white and was showing signs of the disease long before she had to be hospitalized and induced but her doctors wouldn't listen to her or address the symptoms. I believe it is a income based bias not a race issue.

  4. Can we clarify if this is private healthcare or government healthcare? If it’s government, you are not special, just ask the veterans. You get what you pay for and if you are on free healthcare it’s just that – free.

  5. Black women are not listened to when we say something is wrong. If we say we are in pain, we are being too dramatic. If we say there has been an emotional and mental shift in our personality since starting a medication, we are told that we are overreacting. Doctors typically don't take our concerns as seriously as they would if we were of a different race. I don't know why that is, but that is a proven fact.

  6. You wonder why first of all they have a fucking bad attitude Talk to you rude Think they know everything and don't know shit yeah you wonder why😊

  7. She’s right I almost died of childbirth in 1982 and I was spared by the Grace of God- lost 7 pints of blood and 2 pints of plasma and had to stay in the hospital 1 extra week I was one of the lucky ones being that technology was not what it is today- preeclampsia is what I had and this is a subject that needs to be of importance amongst the white doctors and nurses- training on this condition should have been mandated for every hospital across the country

  8. That’s why I took my ass to a black doctor is very simple if you stick with your own kind when you find a black OB/GYN that’s compassionate and caring you found gold

  9. I think its a class/money issue tbh. I was young (19) and extremely poor when I was pregnant. I remember being terrified of having a natural birth and asked for a c section. They flat out told me no and it was my fault for getting pregnant if I couldn't push it out. Luckily, got another opinion and she said my pelvis was too narrow and ok'd the c section. Said if I had gone the natural route I would've faced major complications or lost my son. He's almost 18 and hes my world.

  10. It's extremely difficult to explain our situation to white Americans. Unfortunately they have to see it for themselves and tragically it takes a while for them to see the disparities in treatment. The struggle continues. B1. The doctor truly matter

  11. Totally disagree w/this, it might be her truth. I'm a black male ER-RN/ EMS/Paramedic, Wife NP, & we have 3 sons. I feel as a human we all have our biases & stereotype

  12. Lol why do y’all let woman like this speak on y’all podcast it paints a goofy image of the race. She’s definitely a democrat 😂😂

  13. IM A BLACK WOMAN AND NO THEY DONT IVE BEEN TREATED VERY WELL EVERYTHING IVE BEEN TO THE DRS. BLACK OR WHITE DRS! THIS IS BS SHES NOT SPEAKING FOR US TRUST ME

  14. Well from my experience being misdiagnosed, due to not given simple xray.
Another incident not being diagnosed the first visit, but made me come back with same symptoms, 2 days later.
My Dads broken hip, sent home.
If Serena Williams didn't demand chest x-ray, she would've died.
A old ass nurse told me she wouldn't take care of Black people.
It happens to White people, but more often to people of color, like everything else.
