Hi Everyone! While I was editing this video I noticed I was rambling and a bit hesitant to talk about certain topics, particularly my own personal experiences. I wanted to share the video anyway because I feel every strongly about the messages, but I have also had a lot of painful criticism over the years for speaking up about my experiences in the entrainment industry. So I hope you will be patient with me because I'm still healing from a lot of these experiences❤

The entertainment industry is a cesspool of degenerate people. You dodged a bullet. Good for you for making it your own way.

@italyvii

@amyfarrell8141

You deserve so much more attention. Love your work.

Great Coverage again Sarah, on a delicate topic.
One more thought on “Success”. Anyone who equates Success = Fame * Money (money sometimes being a consequence of fame in today´s attention-driven society)will end up in the vicious circle of capitalistic exploitation. Any performing artist (Actor, Model, …) who is entering this economic treadmill (AND who is defining individual success this way!) will be exposed to all the hideous risks of personal humiliation and physical plundering. Because: Money is entering the game – and with it all the obnoxious people who view money & power as an end in itself.
For a performing artist this becomes a problem, when his/her performance is either below subsistence level or defined by the success-multiplier. Then the monetary focus makes anyone in this dilemma subject to exploitation by the “powerful people” i.e. the “money-people” (i.e. the “Harvey Weinsteins of this world”). And since performing artist are mainly selling “representations” of their personality – they are viewed (by these people) as being a “production-factor” aka: “a commodity”
Thus, giving rise to (justifiably so) the #metoo movement. My view on this: Don´t make your life wholly dependent on your artistic work or performance. Even if one feels the drive of: “this is the only thing I am born for.”
Look for some (economic) safety-net that helps you to stay personally intact, even when your Art does not work (easier said than done….). And find/look for a reason of your existence BEYOND monetary goals. Then people like Harvey don´t have a chance.
And my (very personal) view: It´s the small moments in life that count – the silent seconds you look up into the sky, or a fire-place, or the endless sea,… holding hands with a loved one – just listening to each other’s heart-beat.

Have you done a video on how men and women experience sex differently?

I will check your videos now but that’s such an interesting topic

Please do the review on the Playboy documentary! I actually love you talking about celebrities and I don't even follow them. You're skeptical yet you bring a lot of nuance. BTW, even young people are getting nostalgic for the 90s and 80s. You can tell in music like vapor wave or 80s remixes of new music. So not old lady vibes, just people wanting more substance. Long-format podcasts are probably more popular for this reason. Also, I can see why you'd be bitter about putting in so much work and having morals cap what you could have done – on top of them ruining the reputation for other females in comedy. I immediately thought about the difference between Ms. Pat who's probably immune to it because she has a wall up too and Tiffany Haddish who sort of addressed this. Thank you for making this video.

I look forward to the issues of the p0rn industry video from you, that will be interesting

Casting my vote for the playmate review 🗳️

Also thought this was very coherent and didn’t feel it was rambly. I know very little about the comedy industry but appreciated the insight. It seems to be a perfect microcosm to Hollywood and other industries. This is important to talk about. Including the complexities of intercourse for particular outcomes. Once again thought you covered everything very well and whatever spin off you choose to take it will be great.

Have you thought of having some of your discussions behind a paywall so you can speak more plainly? I’d participate.

@mrdad-zl9zl

I am really interested if you did full storytime videos of your experiences in the industry. How you got into it, how you left, daily stuff, crazy stuff, what ever.

@gvlce

i always love listening to you talking about these subjects, you’re very well spoken ♡

@00st307-m

So sorry you experienced all that – and would love to hear more about your stand up experience!
