  1. i’ve got to say for years i really wished for some of these luxury brands. But lately the stuff looks like garbage and now that i can afford anything i’m not interested

  2. Solution 1 : produce less. Voila! Scarcity.
    Solution 2: Print on demand but for garments.
    Solution 3:(for the customer) Refuse to buy these brands. Instead make your own or hire a seamstress to make for you. Get it at a thrift store and alter or have altered to fit. This is what I do & it protects the environment and my money.

  3. I am officially designer-free, I returned my last 2 designer items, specifically sneakers, by Tod's and Prada this past Friday. I don't need these overpriced, high-maintenance, lack of quality items. Branding and history is all marketing to make you think you're buying high-end. You guys can have it all. I am so happy and confident to never have the need for designer luxury.

  4. Stop trying to be funny by inserting film clips. They're distracting.

    The only appeal of these brands is artificial status. Most of these products are ugly, and without the label, people would pass them up. Real rich people wear handcrafted, high-quality clothes and accessories and DGAF about being walking advertisements.

  5. It just shows that luxury brands don’t care about luxury, it’s just about making money. And as long as exclusivity works to justify rising prices and brings in more customers than selling at a discount this will continue. Because let’s be real how exclusive are luxury brands if they market to the masses?
    The real luxury and exclusivity would be to have only made to order products, like when you go to a tailor. But that would not be as profitable as pret a porter that can be bought on a whim.

  6. There are ways of disposing of unwanted clothing that does not involve excertion of chemicals into the air. There are incineration methods that do not expel much of anything apart from h2o into the air but its literally cheaper to throw it on a ship to a 3rd world country and forget about it than pay a proper filtered incineration factory that produces electricity from the incineration goods. Its filthy practice.

  7. Back in the 1980's a product came into the marked that turned some heads. They were pens which had a clear tube with shredded paper in them. And on the box it said, "This watch contains over $1,000. Because the paper was actually old money. Why couldn't these brands do the same thing but more upscale. Shred a bunch of purses, seal the pieces in a crystal vase and make a whole new luxury item. Do the same with clothes making sure the pieces were all the same color. "This vase holds three purses valued at $3,000." And then sell it for $500."

    Influencer: "I just got the yellow. Which is the rarest color and goes for $1500 compared to the others which only go for $500."

    Imagine the resale value of these glass items. Heck, you could even make glass pendants with purse scraps and people would buy them as long as they had a certificate of authenticity.

  8. This is why i like that LV is going more in the direction of making pre orders. So the bags produced and in store would be limited. People have to learn to wait.

  9. Too many memes inserted in this video it's annoying, some are too long as well. Also the fact that it's a serious topic, inserting comedic memes is just stupid. The video is better off without them.

  10. "Stupid is as Stupid does" – "Quantity over Quality" How can you label Anything as a "Luxury Item" when it's soooo mass produced that you have to destroy your excess inventory that you couldn't sell in order to keep it's hyperbolized mark-up?!?
