Hey, are you still looking for a shop? In which are are you looking at?
That man has probably sold a dream to like 3 different people and then rent out the shop to the highest bidder.
Tbh you are coming off desperate and willing to compromise with nonsensical people that is not good business from the start. Once that inital agreement is broken you move on period! You still trying to contact them after they do not contact you back after saying they would, shows you will end up getting in the wrong business deals later. Even if there is a place you like, never stick your eggs in one basket, keep looking and networking with other people and places.
Go girl, one day at a time. A nice shop is somewhere around waiting for you, just be patient and keep searching.
