Used to work at Johnny Rockets. Can confirm the food is utter trash.
Reminds me of an old bit, think it was Patton Oswalt, ripping on the KFC Bowls they used to have, called it a "Failure Bowl" smothered in "Sadness". Later I was working at a student dining center, and the chef wanted to give up on having a menu and just have bowls "like at KFC". Died a little bit as I started serving Failure Bowls with Sadness Sauce.

Sadly, he was actually being serious about the three days of depression. Like, it was serious clinical depression for him. He wasn't being dramatic, here.
Anthony Bourdain’s loss still hurts me. I hope he is resting in peace, and I hope his darling daughter knows how much he loved her. Damn depression. It can take the best of us. Johnny Rocket was pretty bad the last time I ate there.
The first time we went to Ireland back in the 90s, we came across a Fifties-themed American diner in Dublin, so we thought it’d be funny to grab lunch there and see what Happy Days nostalgia looked like thru an Irish lens. The meal was fine: serviceable burgers, shakes, fries.
About a year later we’re back home in Boston, and we see a sign at a local mall that that diner would be opening a location soon over here. And that’s how we discovered that this Johnny Rockets place was, in fact, a chain from the West Coast. 😹

Somebody that brought so much joy into the world and peoples lives, it’s such a shame took his own life. Shows that even successful people can suffer depression and mental challenges. RIP. You were the best.

Western society has really deviated away from the concept of principals, ethics, and values. This man solicited prostitution, consumed hard drugs, drove and worked impaired . BUT he was cool and had good vibes, therefor he is forgiven and beloved. 🤨
He was such an influence on being not afraid to travel the world ❤ I remember the episode where these frauds pissed Anthony off so bad because it was snorkeling for your own catch of crab and he basically explained it litteraly made him look bad promoting this experience & on the boats they were caught tossing the crab into the water. I will never forget him. He took such pride in his work
After watching him in Vietnam. We went there last week and visited Lunch Lady. And the Banh Mi restaurant. Amazing foods. Love from Australia 🇦🇺

Fame and misfortune_, Tony had a good and real life just being a regular middle of the road person, He could have just written books and stayed in the kitchen for his inspiration & with his talent, and stayed away from the all consuming flim flam celebrity farce of NYC & Hollywood.He left us some great travelogues, but towards the end you could tell he was over done & at the end of his tight rope,
