The Role Of Oil In The Real Downfall Of Nazi Germany | Battlefield | War Stories

As Hitler’s Blitzkrieg marked the start of WW2 in Europe, it also signalled the start of a new type of warfare. This would be a war where the significance of machines, not manpower would be the deciding factor between win and loss. This new type of warfare also brought a new issue into the fold, the supply chain of oil.

  1. Of course Churchill was loving hearing himself say “We’ll only accept unconditional surrender from Germany.” lol all he had done up to that point was lose an entire army’s equipment and armory at Dunkirk, a few sorties over Europe’ and some naval supremacy all while Stallin was taking on the full brunt of the German army. Churchill wanted to fight so bad that it drove him to sell off the empire that he was so determined to preserve. After realizing they were dragged into a war that neither country wanted, the British public didn’t hesitate to get rid of old Churchill 😂. The man just wanted war w/ everyone

  2. >Molotov-Ribbentrop pact signed after the Poland campaign
    >Barbarossa start on the 21st, not 22nd of June
    >10 minutes in and oil has not been mentioned even once

Save yourself the time and dont watch it

  3. As for the Greeks, no resemblance of course to the ancient Ellines, only a minimal percentage, as always the useful idiots. To fight to the death, to be on the side of the winner, but in the ent always on the side of the losers. There is NOT more stupid people in the whole world.

  4. According to some historians, the wetter-than-normal spring of 1941 in Russia and the Ukraine meant that it would have been difficult for the Nazis to launch Barbarossa any earlier than it did.

  5. More anti-Soviet propaganda once again. The Soviet army overextended themselves when facing Warsaw. Also, why would the Soviets ever want to have a pro-British government in Warsaw??? If roles were reversed, the Brits would have done the same thing! This video spent at least 5 minutes on just Warsaw! This video is supposed to be on oil resources!

  6. You wonder why the Germans didn't make major efforts to project their synthetic fuel production. The Fischer-Tropsch process was not exactly efficient, but Germany had plentiful coal for that conversion. If they were able to make their synthetic fuel plants built so it was less vulnerable to Allied bombing, it could have extended the war at least a year because the Luftwaffe and their armies would still have enough fuel to keep them going.

  7. Joe Biden; I remember I was in the Senate at this time. I kept saying if We had electric cars, We wouldn't need oil. We just need those Jewish slaves for mining. C'mon man! 😂😮😅😊

  8. Took me a minute, but I saw what you did there. The lack of references of the oil in the video, especially in the second half of the video symbolizes the lack of physical oil the Germans had for the war effort especially in the second half of the war. Revolutionary documentary style.

  9. There was a saying coined by soldiers on the Eastern Front: "The lucky man is sent to France and returns to see his wife, but the one sent far away to the East can expect only to lose his life".

  10. That doesn't start out well citing the myth that the Balkins campaign delayed the USSR invasion. And several more incorrect statements right after that.
