The Rise and Rise of Casablanca
The Rise and Rise of Casablanca
Casablanca is one of the hottest mens brands at the moment championing a new old money aesthetic with their Morroccan-French inspiration coming from the heritage of the heavily respected Charaf Tajer who had an enormous CV of brands from Off-White, Le Pompon, Supreme and Pigalle. Tajer clearly began Casablanca with his long practice at fashion…

A brand with really strong identity. I have their shirts and even subscribed to their newsletter, that’s how much I love their design ))
As a Nigerian. Your mention of the country made me pause and go look up the SS24 collection. I'm no fashion girlie but I got the sense of a sunset in Lagos (former capital of the country) while it was still very much a casablanca design. I'm impressed lol. Can't afford such yet tho 17:25
who else is watching at 1.5x speed lmao
i was super into casablanca in 2020, glad to see they're getting so much great recognition.
Retailers in London are saying the brand has fallen off at the street wear level.
When I think of CASA BLANCA I think Mexico and the south . I do think he swayed to the old money trend because it’s a trend .
Agree 1000% on his latest show looking American cowboy then Mexico trip.

im sorry but the overemphasis on the collection based on mexico being "soo offbranddd" really gives racism vibes
I would love to see a video on Hugo Boss!! They have quite an interesting past🙃 Thanks for the amazing work you do btw❤️❤️
Totally agree with vogue review, I love the brand but the quality is terrible and I have few items from the collection 22 and 23
Been messing with Casablanca since 2022, love the brand!
lol Charaf Tajer is a scammer like the founder of Rhude
Love Casablanca! thank you !
the brand genuinely makes me sad…
This was great to hear more about Casablanca! I heard about them with the Bulgari and NB collaborations.
I slightly disagree about the Mexico show – i saw the inspi in the shirt embroidery and long skirts but haven't seen the whole show and feels very different the brand core.
I very much need to look at the SS24 show asap!
I think i would like to know your view on Rhode skin by Hailey Bieber. Both the marketing, product and all it includes
newly a fan of Charaf Tajer's CASABLANCA since I saw the SS 2024 collection in the Casablanca's YT channel runway show.. that was good.. I wish I could buy some CASABLANCA items..
Another great analysis video.. 👏🏼👏🏼
Charaf Tajer one of the modern fashion designers I look for.. from designs, aesthetics story of the collection that resembles the life, attitude, charisma & personalities of the designers
Oh is this a brand that BTS wore at the PTD concert at the last part with those pastel and flower designs? I loved that look on them!
There's nothing I loathe from tracksuits
Another lovely video Understitch! I first heard of Casablance in the BoF podcast where he talks about his show at his mum’s house, thank you for sharing another well informed video
Great, one of my favorite brands reviewed by one of my favorite channels.
Casablanca got heavily inspired by another Moroccan brand called MEQNES.. similar logo, Moroccan city name…
I appreciate how you outline the difference between the value brought by the literal clothes in the first collection and the "storytelling", "hype" or whatever you want to call it. I think sometimes in fashion we like to believe that the products stand-alone but I've always thought the story is often the reason we care about a brand or not.
"Touching speech on refugees" on the catwalk of the brand that sells overpriced tracksuits… Interesting. 🤔
Great video about a great brand, if i had to bet on which new brands will be on avenue Montaigne in 20 years selling billions it would be Casablanca, such a powerful branding and a real breath of fresh air in the fashion world. My only concern is their internal reputation, a lot of people in the industry warned me about their team being really scummy, not paying their workers or models, i remember they had some SA allegations in 2021 too and they AI campaign was likely made from a place of paying the minimum possible for a add; i do hope they will be able to fix this with growth because it’s such a powerful concept that has an infinite potential
You’re watching Understitch✨
Is this brand very inspired by Alessandro Michelle's Gucci?
I had a possibility to buy multiple shirts from 2nd collection for 250€ each before covid… I postponed it and seller disappeared after covid started 😢
