The Shade Room is so powerful but decides to use its social capital to sow division in black communities and keep us largely disconnected. They ostracize the ones most likely to call for unification (the most marginalized of black ppl; trans, queer, women) and then reinforce white supremacist ideologies (colorism, patriarchy, capitalism etc).
