The REAL Tunisia! SOUSSE, What The Media Won’t Show YOU سوسة تونس

Welcome to SOUSSE! From Hammamet, we decided to head further along the coast and use Sousse as our base for a few days! We loved exploring the Medina and heading up to the rabat! We even found a cute restaurant in the Medina that has a menu for each day of the week!!!

  1. You seem lovely and good people, you know the mulsim people now become muslims instead of worshipping a cross or a man. Join us in faith and praise the almighty God not jesus the prophet but God of Abraham the one.

  2. Mixed emotions on this place, I visited in 2015 with my partner, had a great time…food was great, people were nice, weather was unbelievable, short flight, great hotel and seemingly unrealistically cheap. Came home fully intending on returning yearly as a second holiday (7 days all inclusive for two people cost us just £860)
Unfortunately, 2 weeks upon our return home, the hotel we stayed in ‘Rui palace marhaba’ (renamed now I believe) was infiltrated by an Islamic fundamentalist terrorist, who emerged from the beach front of the hotel with a Kalashnikov shotgun and imposed his will on exclusively white European tourists, 38 people were killed before he was stopped, the hotel was an absolute blood bath.
You’re likely going to go there and have a great time, but ultimately that area of Tunisia is a hotbed for Islamic state members and the police and military don’t have the resources to really help, so that goes some way to explaining why your hotel room was £30 per night. Interestingly, around the 10 minute mark of the video, you actually walk down the terrorists street where he lived, I recalled it from a documentary I watched about it.
Not hating at all by the way, I enjoy your content

  3. We are in Tunisia now and have just had an afternoon at the Medina, just myself and Mrs W. Never felt so unsafe, everyone wanting to be your best friend trying to get you into their shop, blocking you and getting aggressive if you didn't buy anything in their shops and the scams! People coming up to us saying they worked at our hotel and knew me and then trying to drag you off somewhere as a tour guide. Nope, never again. My advice is visit the Medina in large groups or stick to your holiday company excursions. I love to film and photo everything but there was no way i would have got my camera out here.

  5. Thanks for the video, guys! Actually heading to Tunisia in a few days, post-Egypt. Looks like there's less of a hassle there outside the main areas. Can't wait! The red and black jersey is beautiful and the food looks incredible. Cheers!

  6. Me and my best friend are going here in August. We will wear swimwear and bikinis in the resort but to be respectful of the culture when we go into souse how covered up do we need to be? First time in an Arab country apart from turkey and just want to make sure we respect the culture.
