So basically, it's not just being wary of what could change in the system that you are hired to protect but most cases you do nothing until, when you least expect it you are back in front of the screen fixing whatever has occurred.

Which program did you use to study cybersecurity?
Stay grinding yall 💪. Im doing it to! Got about 5 or 6 more classes and ill have my degree in programming. Ive already got some cyber and IT certs getting more this year. Working on my project goals and knowledge every day. Wanting to get to a full cyber security job when I'm ready!
I totally feel this. Im someone who can work anywhere and I'm always on the grind like even when home IT and cyber are passions of mine so much so i dont see them as work. So im always doing something related to that. And ive always done great on my own but can do well in a work setting as well. I think it's funny though since i have a friend who decided to do the same field same degree and more as me and tried to work from home but thinks what that means is "being home gaming while working, or not really working since he could be home and not have like hetic morning schedule and more" i think a lot of people see the pros of not just IT but remote work and more and use that as a way to just not work at all but want the "life" they see it as and the money. When thats not what it really is. Like even my dad would do this he would go on vaccinations and always have his laptop or phone to do work or talk to clients since he is a attorney and my mom would bitch about it all the time. When his job didnt have a time clock or punch ins it was 24/7 he couldnt just not pick up the phone when a client called or whatever. A lot of people think thats what this field or others are which is just not true. Got to put in the actual WORK for the pros of said work.
I’m a Network Support Engineer. I work from home! I see why severance is such a popular show 😂 I’m NEVER off! Even when I’m sleeping I’m thinking about my 30day+ tickets! I’m thinking about what script I’m going to have to run during that remote session in 5 hours that I REALLY don’t want to have… I’m thinking about what BS I can tell that client on the remote session because I still don’t have an answer 😂 your mind NEVER EVER SLEEPS ! I can’t wait to get “off the clock” so I can ACTUALLY get some work done ! Research, admin , cleaning out my tickets, updating information etc. I’m glad I’m in the field as I love it, it’s not easy work tho.

my advice dont worry about the money, it will come if you do your job. getting to the money is the hardest part because it takes a lot of time and dedication, most people dont to want sacrifice their time.
