  1. Hi I’m Malagasy and tips for the porridge. You should add some greens like spinach or leek and add a lot of ginger and use chicken broth if possible do not use as much garlic as you put into the video but just put about two or 3 tablespoons to make this dish really pop is to sauté the garlic and the ginger with some butter instead of oil I am so happy that myMalagasy food has made it as far as America and I’m really happy. Thank you so much.

  2. try the tea leaf salad from Myanmar or the peanut-cilantro-ice cream from Taiwan or the tiny coconut crepes from Thailand or the refreshing cendol from Malaysia!

  3. Ayoh! Malagasy out here in the States…excited to see the attempt! Not to beat a dead horse (think others commented) but the koba for sure needs more sugar and rice flour; second attempt was definitely better and must have tasted dope. The kitoza (beef…strips..?) at least the way my fam does it is slightly dried but then pan fried.

but what in that vazah…please, please wash or at least rinse the rice!
Someone else said it – Malagasy red rice is better for vary sosoa (saw it in Whole Foods a little bit ago); but hey – use what you got, and since it's a comfort food/breakfast no big deal.

All in all — build on top of it!! Give it another go because it's all delicious, filling, and relatively easy. Alefa!
