  1. So what is my crime, am purchasing power online, however i am unable to use it because as we know there is no electricity supply! So i have paid in advance for service that is so epileptic 😮 the disco are indebted to me….then the government wont pay their power/energy bills…useless government! The bottom line they just want to hike up the tarriff rogues everywhere

  2. Dr Abati, you should have asked this man, why are their buddies not supplying this 4G meter even after customers have paid them? They complained about currency hike but now the currency is stable but they still refused to supply the meters. Never seen a situation where I will pay for goods and the dealer won't supply.

They are still crooks in my opinion.

  3. BEDC Asaba division is even worse, they sell electricity to the highest bidder. They sell to hotels, factories and companies that are ready to stay off subsidy. They do this by offering special lines called 11-commercial, the customer pays for it.
Residence can hardly boast of 1 hour electricity per day in asaba as i type.
In fact, just 2 factories in asaba are responsible for consumption of 70% of allocated power to the city.

  4. The minister has demonstrated his incapacity in the discharging of his responsibilities. He is only interested in Ibadan and Abuja, where he lives and owns mansons. What about the other states throughout the federaton who are always in darkness and still pay exhitant electricity bills? Tinubu and his ministers are busy oaming all over the world looking for investors and why the government can't provide electricity for the past 62 years after independence. What a shame!

  5. Again, Abati is talking like a palm wine tapper. He does not see a criminal bullion van govt that neither pays her bills nor lead by example. He is rather joining the irresponsible govt to fight the power distribution agency.

  6. The fact is that Nigeria pays the lowest electricity tariff among many African nations. When I lived in Ghana before the pandemic, I was paying nearly 600GHC a month on a 2bedroom apartment, which at the time was about N50,000 a month. But the power was VERY VERY CONSTANT. My grouse is that between government, the GENCOs/TCN/DISCOs and consumers, the whole bulk of adjustments and corrections is always passed to the consumers first while the others do not do their part. Some of the DISCOs have no business doing business in this sector as they are financially and technically unqualified.

  7. Imagine a person who did not use electricity will be paying money to government for nothing, Nigeria electricity distribution company should not let us talk because if we talk their anus will open.
