I am Tunisian, living in Tunisia. Tunisia is not as westernised as the people say it is. Most girls have to hide when they go out at night or smoke ect… from their families, especially men in their family. Tunisians love to say we are so free and all, however ask any man if they allow their sisters to go out at night or smoke or drink and you will find not one man would allow this. Tunisia may look extreme westernised, however in reality it is not. We are all Muslims and have our traditions and culture. The young generation just love to show that we are so opened minded, when it’s not true.
