  1. I am ashamed to say “Shameik Less” made me howl with laughter while sat on the toilet. Got to say Lauren (who is fine beyond words) didn’t have to do the video like a supervillain though.

  2. When you get no actual advice that’s applicable (tbh when you’re young media and even your parents are not particularly helpful in dating advice) or experience for a while you get desperate and end up like this. Movies and even peoples parents have common stories where a guy persists even after rejection to eventually get a yes and in todays standard that’s not ok. As a guy you also have to ask why you’d want to be with someone who wasn’t terribly enthusiastic to be with you or is perhaps playing games. I was kind of like this as a late bloomer as I felt isolated that all these other people had dating lives and I remained single for a while. I was like 20 when I got my first relationship ever. This past year (26) I had a lot of different dates and successes. If you seem somewhat like this in the comments the best advice I can give is to figure out how to look your best and to learn how to banter, also have some actual hobbies and interests. These interests don’t have to be the aggregate, sometimes obscure ones or a lesser known one is cool, however something that is a common aggregate interests definitely helps with conversation and relating to people you meet. Like don’t treat dating or flirting like an interview and also recognize if they’re not interested or it doesn’t feel right, move on and disengage. I have a pretty deadpan face and monotone voice so this took a lot of practice to be more playful in asking questions. Also although it sucks, sometimes you get successful in moments where you don’t really try and you don’t get success when you actually do. It’s odd and frustrating but that’s how it is. If you try too hard it does creep people out. Also if you’re a guy talking to pretty girls can most definitely be intimidating at times but you got to remember they’re a person too. Hitting on people already in relationships or being engaged is definitely a no go and can make everyone uncomfortable unless they’re like poly and fine with it or something.

  3. the fact that he wouldn't take down the video with Laura harrier even after she privately asked was so… like he deserved to be called out publicly for that. it's just weirdo behavior

  4. She's sipping on the broth, because it would look really gross talking to us eating ramen.

This dude is cringey af! She looks physically discusted and uncomfortable when she hears her name come from his mouth.

Whenever a woman is mean to you, when you approached her and she's not interested, it's because there's guys in the world that here "I love you", when you say hi!

  5. to hasan the rejection is cringe but to everyone else the sexual harassment is cringe. Nobody shoots their shot the way Shameik does. He keeps posting these women and flirting with them while knowing they're engaged or taken in some way. Anyone who genuinely likes you and cares about you wouldn't shoot their shot like this

  6. I mean, I remember something similar going down with me, no celebrities involved of course, but in… middle school. MIDDLE SCHOOL. Why is Miles Morales being an incel?😭

  7. Shemeik is a voice actor in spiderman and voice actors don't interact anymore like in the past so it's impossible to build chemistry when you don't talk or SEE your fellow co-worker so while all live action spiderman actors dated their character love interest they were LIVE ACTION actors not voice actors because in live action since you interact with your co-worker and have to be close to do your job properly it's really easy to fall in love with them and date them even if it doesn't last. And that's also why probably Shemeik was hitting on Hailee ON CAMERA because he had no other chance and people were pushing the you're the only spiderman to not date his love interest

  8. I cant believe, we still have to teach "no means no" to people in 2024. They are coworkers too for crying out loud: he is making it exhausting to for her to do her job and dreading to work with him!
    🙄

  9. It seems like bro was told to many times that all "Spiderman end up dating there characters love interest" and he desperately wanted that fantasy to be true.

Considering voice acting characters typically doesn't involve as much "intimaticy" or venerablity.

Like physical acting with another individual in a scene has so much that can create a sense of bond regardless of actual connection.

Hell there was a study that found individuals of appropriate sex parrings just prolonged regular eye contact could build a sense of "love" (by appropriate sex parrirngs I mean people that have sexual preferences that include eachother)

As well acting out scenes with emotion and dialog in the moment can actively build those neural pathways, mutually.

With voice acting you are look at something closer to the parasocal relationships that form with content creators. As its one way those paths get formed or "best case" its asynchronous development
