  1. Dr Abati is a journalist, former Editor in Chief of Guardian Newspaper before he was picked by Jonathan govt to serve as a spokesperson for the govt. Rufai and Ayo re public speaker/commentator not a journalist. Appearing on TV show does not qualify them as such and u can deduce that from their input on topical issues. Only a mass comm student will be able to differentiate that.

  2. Big time embarrassment.

The decision to suspend Niger from ECOWAS and the economic sanctions against them were poor decisions.

    Failure of foreign policy.

The overthrown president of Niger is still in custody. The coup leaders are still in charge.

Very unfortunate for ECOWAS, and these are landlocked countries.

In the future, ECOWAS will lack the moral rights to even condemn coups in the region, since it has proven itself to be ineffectual with economic sanctions.

  3. What is the agbado head of state doing to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians, the reopening of the border is an attestation that African countries know that Tinubu government is illegitimate

  4. Nigeria if you think the world wasn't
watching,, yuh mek a sad mistake
we know who your master Jonk Crow!
Salute to Niger 🇳🇪 from jamaica 🇯🇲

9:46: ⚖️ Challenges with ECOAS reform and President Buhari's leadership amidst border reopening.
14:38: 🌍 Regional bloc Echo faces uncertainty following potential decision capitulated, while Nigeria allocates fertilizer to enhance agricultural production.
18:22: 💬 CBN Governor's contradictory statements on interventions and fiscal policy.

  6. What benefits does the Niger border help rather than importing more Boko Haram and guns to kill more people, why not open Benin rep border so the cost of food and other items can go down

  8. I hope by now we all recognize the effects of an illegitimate president of one country can have far reaching effects even outside the countries borders

  9. WE DO NOT NEED DEMOCRACY, WE JUST SIMPLY NEED GOOD GOVERNANCE AND THAT IS REGARDLESS OF WEDA IT IS CIVILIANS OR MILITARY DAT IS RULING. All these nonsense about insisting on upholding civilian democracy is insane wen d civilians holding power behave so wicked and ruthlessly insensitive to the needs of d people dey govern, and continually keep Dem in perpetual poverty. Wot nonsense.

  10. I have always maintained that the first decision by ECOWAS under BAT with the influence of the WEST was never the best approach. African leaders, WHEN WILL WE BEGIN TO STAND FOR OURSELVES? Niger, Mali, Gambia are all our brothers, should we kiil our own because they got it wrong? Now, unknown to ECOWAS what they just did is putting themselves at the mercies of this Nations.

  11. Is like this dollar is stubborn, after a pastor from my part of the country prayed for it to crashed it refused we will leave him (dollar) with know choice by declaring him a persona non grata.

  12. Horrible journalism… waiting for questions to be answered by the CBN instead of getting off your butts to go investigate and get the answers for the Nigerian people.. Lazy and very unprofessional news outfit.. Shame!

  13. These guys are not in anyway interested in your lifting sanctions or opening of whatever boaders… shame on the "agbadonians", as always.. one step forward and 1000 steps back.. shame all the way round.. it's high time the agbado man, says bye bye to the "sahel" giants…Sahel 1.. ecowas 0.. we are watching 🧐

  14. Kudos to Dr Abati. Age, exposure and experience have separated your comments and ways of viewing things differently.
I hope your colleagues will tap from you only if they won't continue to live in delusion furthermore.

  16. I think journalism doesn't begat right to insult your elders even if you come from a background that doesn't have value for the elderly.

This is senselessness again from Rufai or what is he called.

  17. This lie of democracy should be visited. Because the way that so called democracy is played and the ordinary people of the nations suffer. Then. Coups are inevitable. Can ECOWAS call political and democratic malpractices and sanctions be imposed on those who carry out civilian coups?

  18. Ayo & Oseni are only qualified as influencers not journalists.
Shouting in English words , dictating and interrogation is not journalism……Bolee ka ja
    journalists.
