'followers of Wester African indigenous religions' is incorrect; they were rather traditions and customs, not unlike 'animists'
Never existed ✊🏿✊🏿✊🏿 this is all fiction
We Africans never had an empire
Its not even our way of life
Theyre no different than any other great power. They used slave labor to dominate the market.

I'm Ghanaian but history has it that my people migrated from Mali Empire. My tribe is predominantly muslim
Ha?? Huge mistake! The Mali empire encompassed more than just modern Mali, but Senegal, the Gambia, a portion of Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, northern Cote-D’ivoire, a part of Burkina Faso, as well as a portion of Niger.
I clicked on this with extraterrestrial connection in mind. 😅
Great video nonetheless.
Excellent video, as west African from Ghana the Mali Empire’s history is fascinating.
The Mali empire was first founded by Sumahoro Kante, also known as the Blacksmith King. It is precisely because he was a blacksmith that the Manding would not recognize Sumahoro Kante's authority, and asked for Sunjata Keita to take over, and consolidate what Sumahoro Kante started.
The AI art really adds some quality to this video. But lol I can't unsee the 6-legged Donkey faced Camel and the Camel with a Trunk!!
Are the arial shots that look like they are filmed 3d miniature models also AI or your doing? Because if they are hand made then they are excellent!!
I’m a Jamaican trying to trace back my history and it looks like my ancestry has connections to Songhai, Mali, Ghana, Nubia, Kush and Egypt along with Taino from the native jamaican’s
Everyone knows the Malians wuz white, dem black Americans dun stoled our history!!
This, by the way, is history 101 for white folks. You obviously need an Anglish-speaking, adjective specialist to pad what we now know about Africa , the great. All of white culture, just found out about the history, the white culture did not want you to know.. Stop, and consider, how many countries, looted nations in Africa, and wouldn’t admit what they had stolen , so long ago.
Come down from that horse you rode in on.
GREED is the downfall of ALL Empires
Most part of the Empire had a plain geography
Do we know from where the majority of slaves in the Malian Empire came from? To what extent were they trading slaves with the Arabs?
Where can I find some of those images?
Long love the Lion of Mali and his heirs

As citizen from Mali,I'm proud to see this video because the story of AFRICA is never told.
Very good!!
nice video but a correction needs to be made. the kings of mali were not considered divine. mali was an islamic empire and that would be considered a major sin to believe such. even sufi muslims would never dare to take on such a belief. Fun fact. im an african american who has 17% dna from mali. fun fact 2. as someone that has lived in egypt for 10 years, i have met a lot of people from mali that are students at al azhar university. they are nice people are generally know their history. fun fact 3. the movie the lion king is based on the first emperor of mali
