Stupid movie, not enjoyed at all
Genius
I think I get it, it's sorta like the opening theme from Star Wars. It's like this fanfare that captures your attention just from the first few sounds. Here it used the language of the Sarudkar, which is something we never heard, to catch the attention which gives a better focus on the film. Never actually thought on it before
We had to play Quran in the background watching this movie
Just in case.
Bad spirits, djinn, etc. Avoid calling ghosts and possessions
Man, Hans Zimmer is such a GOAT.
And here I thought it was a man making that voice. 😂
Always do what is interesting and unexpected. (In entertainment. Not in a formal setting).
Ive heard mongols describe it as the golden vibration, its a specific type of soothing vibration you make in your throat.
It was brilliant. I loved it!
Without doubt, one of great things about Dube is "the voices"
I just love Hans and his work.
One of the most iconic things about these movies. I get excited for it every time!
Reminds me of Mongolian throat singing
The 2nd is a flop
Genius
I thought it was the Guild Navigators at first, sensing the approach of Paul like a storm on the horizon… would have been better if it was.
Opening a movie with Mongolian throat thinging is always the best
" Power over spice is power over all"
Most overrated composer in film
So that’s not throat singing?
pictures enter our mind from the front
but sounds enter from the back. You can't ignore sounds like that!
I always imagine that it’s a spacing guild navigator saying it because they are the ones who 1. Have prescient powers as shown by the voice in the first scene and 2. Really on the spice so heavily
Never seen doing if I started the movie and heard that bullshit I would probably turn it off
Phenomenal
I like how they both serve as themes for their respective movies. Especially in the case of Dune: Part Two. “He who controls spice, controls the universe.”
No more reading comments on Dune vids for me. I’m tired of reading spoilers from the book readers about stuff after the movie part 2
I always thought that voice was Leto from the future
always gives me goose bumps
The Bene Gesserit are able to control people by simply speaking with The Voice. This sounds silly until you realise that Dune made everyone shut up and pay attention with that intro.
Mongolian chants intesified
Lisan-as-Suhb
Totally sets the movie in that tone
Hearing that voice in IMAX was like getting a brain massage
Throat singing was brilliant and also draws the link between the Sardukar and the Mongolians. Brilliant imagery.
real
I suppose it was too much to give credit to Mongolian throat singers
Oh God Hans please don't say "Disney movie" in the same paragraph as anything that has to do with Dune.
Te cofradí
Listening to it with headphones 🤌🏻
Cinema went silent, IMMEDIATELY.
BOTH TIMES
He’s the greatest composer of our time, sure John Williams is great but Zimmer can just invoke such emotion with his pieces
I knew, when i heard the opening, that it was gonna be legendary. So much of this movie is based on sound and how it makes you feel. The pure sound based intro was perfect to set the stage for what was about to come. I still get goosebumps when i hear it, even after atleast 10 views 😂
It sounds like Hans says ‘failed’ recording engineer, not ‘field’ recording engineer
This is a fascinating video
