  1. So is there an all white tournament that my kids can enter? I didnt realize that we were still going for the whole segregation thing.. i thought you people all hated that.. oh well, time to start all white tournaments.. or would that be unfair and racist?..

  2. It’s crazy how y’all don’t understand the concept of growing the game…Let’s not forget that segregation by white folk is what brought us here in the first place. And let’s be honest, segregation most definitely affected golf on a major scale. It literally cut black people off from playing top level golf. This tournament is taking a small step to restore some balance. The majority of tour pros grew up playing country club golf. Golf might be one of the least popular sports among black youth. Unfortunately the majority of black youth attend schools that don’t even have golf programs. The lack of golf programs leads to less access to top level courses, competition, and EXPOSURE! This golf tournament is held in an area where it is one of the leading example of this issue. It’s one tournament a year that grants ONE spot in a non-signature tour event. As a black golf professional myself, I’d advise you all to really look into the financial toll even a minor golf tour will require to just get to the first tee box of a few tournaments a years… It is not even a discussion for some families. It’s simply too expensive for people who can’t afford to take such risks. This stage is almost 100% out of reach for most people. This year’s event was won by a pro, Willie Mack III. Unfortunately just because a person earns the title “pro” doesn’t mean theyre automatically rich. I’m certain Mr. Mack was thankful for the opportunity as well as the other pros would didn’t even earn the exemption.
The majority of these players got an opportunity to play a course that unfortunately they otherwise wouldn’t have access too(financially not racially). It’s not a free spot. These are all pros that earned their titles and competed against other pros for one spot.
I’m not even with all the BLM stuff…race aside there should be more events like these helping groups of golfers follow their dreams without having to worry about the financial burden.

  3. Stereotype black people as not even being able to afford the entry fees why don't you.. sad. Imagine a whites only event lol it'd be outrage!! Also what if someone is like 3% African? Can he play? Asking for a friend 🤔

  4. Looks pretty racist, where's the awards and events just for white, hispanic or asian golfers? Golf is for everyone and giving special treatment to any specific group is wrong and offensive.

  5. Pathetic. Couldn’t name a group of people that are given as many freebies and have standards lowered to accommodate them. Bring back the meritocracy that made America great
