@adamcurrie7567

@phantomstoriesxx

I appreciate the detailed explanation around 8:45! It’s so helpful for beginners like me. πŸ˜„

@donross7820

Poisoning our land!

@lionofistanmusic7311

Super interesting….thank you farmers!!

For those wondering, a bushel of corn is 56 pounds

@oreomonster

What us up with the draggy commentary tone?

I lived on a very small farm (only about 2 Β½ or so acres under till) in southern Oregon for a few years growing up, and I always wished that we had more machinery like what's used on big industrial farms. Everything was done by hand except plowing, we had 1 tractor that we used for that (I never got to drive it, it was my grandpas job). My job was usually weeding, which I grew to very heavily dislike.
We grew basically everything. Corn was about half of it, but we also had lots of garlic, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, dill, carrots, basil, cabbage, anything you can think of (although we we didn't grow marijuana, unlike every other farm in the county). We also had a herd of goats that we used for both dairy (goat milk is delicious, but only when fresh) and meat.
I loved living in nature, although I didn't like being quite so involved with it. I would have preferred to have lots of machines and automation, but our main selling point was the fact that we were a small organic family farm.
Despite the fact that I'd never want to live on a farm again, i still find myself watching these kinds of videos, not to mention putting dozens of hours into Farming Simulator.

@cooncheez5547

Mass food production isn't necessarily crucial food production..

@hobbyart364

So that's where our food comes from

@GloryTouch5

Reminds me of "Autumn Dreams" πŸ₯°

@Cornman_NW

i do surely aprove the methods utilised

@karendarrenmclaren

I still can't understand what you do with all that corn… seriously

@BugoHossBH

How is the corn seed red? What are we eating?

@Leep_Actual

Corn and bean farmer from Central IL here. Thanks for this. More people need to watch this. Especially large influencers who spread lies about our profession with barely any knowledge.

@Whosaids0

In regards to the future focusing on the most yield is a problem in and of itself.

@msgtwarmonger3603

Corn products are almost single-handedly DESTROYING the health of Americans

@elinope4745

I prefer meat from livestock that is grass fed. The corn and soy industries are killing people imo.

@7viewerlogic670

Great video.

@theodoreaguglia8902

Thank you farmers

@samhughes5411

Hey I live like 30 minutes from bancroft ❀❀ (also for anyone wonder it's no koh suth it's Kuh Soothe

@Motown222

I read Porn Farmer. Lmao

@realdripmeister

I just watched an 18 minute video on corn farming

@ccubsfan94

The wild part of this, is not only do the farmers have to deal with the weather and the soil, but no one mentions the fact the seed and fertilizer companies are multi billion dollar conglomerates hell bent with a full team of "specialists" and salesmen ready to go at a seconds notice.

@mirandaludington6818

The way he said Dekalb, as a professional Chicagoan and Dekalb visitor, it’s dekaLb

@marlow3621

9:05 Embraer EMB 202 Ipanema

@seanoconnor7659

The county’s name is actually pronounced kuh-SOOTH.

@ytjoemoore94

Covering Mexico's ban on US corn would be a logical continuation

@SaiCharanReddy-oz8ez

Agriculture is still evergreen business πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@2kolbe010

Take a stroll in the Mississippi delta. Nothing but soy bean, corn, and cotton. Its beautiful

@TaruProductions

This is excellent. This answered my curiosities. Thank you.

@michaelmonthey5974

Corn farming is overrated

@zacharyhacault9546

A(maize)ing

@gabrieldipse6525

Im not for or against big farming. But the amount of food these farmers produce its more than enough to feed all 8 billion people. Im talking about all farmers around the world. And yet we dump half of food we buy. At least in Romania. And i try to understand where the problem is. Its clear we produce tons of food but yet we dumb so more and 3rd world countries die of hunger. And again its clear we have the men power and machinery to plant grow and transport and yet some die of hunger or have to live day to day with few food. Where we got as humanity? Funding wars and killing people, printing money for banks and big corporations, building ships to go to mars but we are not able to save our planet which still has more to give us just if we would take care of it.

@tamvu1623

Bro, put some respect on farmers

@nedyajllih6213

As someone with countless hours in farming simulator, I can attest to the accuracy of the information shown in this video. Well done and love the great content <3

@97ajg

I get going upstream is harder than down but is there a significant reason it gets sent all the way to new orleans instead of up to duluth?
